Mafia Casino Review

With an 8.3 Safety Index rating, 100+ game providers, and thousands of pokies, Mafia Casino is a fresh name for Kiwi players. I tried the welcome bonus, banking, and mobile play as well as a few other features at the casino to see how it stacks up against the competition in NZ online casinos.

My first impressions of Mafia Casino

New casinos with dark, edgy branding always make me a bit cautious, especially when they're licensed offshore. But Mafia Casino, which launched in 2025, sits in the "High" range of our Safety Index with a score of 8.3, which gave me enough confidence to register and make a small test deposit.

Once I logged in, I found thousands of pokies and table games from more than 100 providers. Plus, the homepage is packed with categories like Top, New, Exclusive, Top Live Casino Games, and Game Shows. It is closer to the Vegasino games library than to smaller NZ-focused brands such as Christchurch or SkyCity Casino.

Claiming the Mafia Casino welcome bonus was straightforward. With a deposit match bonus with a minimum deposit amount of $20, I could trigger a 250% match up to $4,000 plus 150 Mafia Casino free spins on selected pokies.

The wagering requirements are firmly within the NZ average range at 35x. The free spins are subject to 40x wagering requirements, and each batch has a 1-day expiration, which could be a little better in our opinion.

Banking felt flexible, with a mix of bank cards, popular e-wallets, and several cryptocurrencies. Withdrawals processed within a few business days in my tests. The daily and monthly withdrawal caps sit at around $1,000 and $13,000 respectively.

This is a little low compared to brands like Golden Crown, which offer a $60,000 monthly limit for players who've hit good luck. Mafia Casino made a strong first impression as a big and packed lobby with decent safety and plenty of ways to play and stay entertained.

Where Mafia Casino hit the mark

  • High Safety Index for a new brand – An 8.3 Safety Index score puts Mafia Casino firmly in the "High" category, ahead of riskier operators in the 6–7 range.
  • Huge game variety from 100+ providers – Compared with local names like Christchurch Casino, Mafia's 30,000+ feels much closer to global giants such as Supabet in terms of sheer choice of pokies.
  • Crypto and fiat payments – I liked being able to deposit with Mastercard for simplicity, then test withdrawals via an e-wallet and even crypto, giving Kiwi players more flexibility than brands like SkyCity that don't support crypto payments at all.
  • Generous bonus with extra spins – The Mafia Casino welcome bonus combines a 250% match up to $4,000 with 150 extra spins, which felt more engaging than a simple cash-only match, putting it on par with competitors like Pistolo and AllySpin.

Where Mafia Casino fell short

  • Stricter terms and withdrawal caps – Our review flagged some "somewhat unfair" terms, particularly around low-risk betting with bonuses and relatively low daily and monthly withdrawal limits compared to competitors, as noted in my Wheelz review.
  • Busy theme won't suit everyone – The mafia aesthetic and packed lobby will appeal if you like gamified, story-driven casinos, but it can feel a little overwhelming compared with the cleaner, simpler layouts at brands like Koru.

Bonuses that pack a punch

When I claimed the Mafia Casino welcome bonus, the process was simple. After registering, I went to the cashier, selected my preferred payment method, and ticked the bonus box before confirming my first deposit. A minimum deposit of $20 unlocked the first part of the 250% match up to $4,000 plus 150 free spins, with the full amount landing over the first three deposits.

There's a 35x wagering requirement on the casino welcome bonus, and free spins winnings must be wagered 40x. That's slightly tougher than the effective 35x rollover at SkyCity and close to the 40x you'll see at LuckyWins, so it sits on the higher side of the NZ average.

Free spins don't arrive all at once. Instead, Mafia Casino credits 50 spins per deposit for the first three deposits, across the entire three-deposit welcome bonus.

Compared with NZ staples like Jackpot City or Wheelz, the raw value of the Mafia Casino welcome bonus is strong, but the tight time limit and higher wagering make it better suited to regular players than complete beginners.

Beyond the welcome bonus, Mafia Casino also rewards returning players with promotions like weekly reload bonuses and cashback bonuses that suit every type of player, including those who play live casino and sports betting.

Where the bonuses stand out

  • Big first-deposit ceiling – A 250% match up to $4,000 plus 150 free spins gives more upfront firepower than smaller NZ offers.
  • Structured over multiple deposits – Free spins arrive in 3 batches of 50, which were given out across the first three deposits of my time at the casino.
  • Reload and cashback offers – The casino offers multiple types of reload and cashback bonuses for returning players, including free spins and deposit match-ups, for sports betting, live casino, and pokies.
  • Gamified extras – The "Bonus Crab" feature and mission-style promos add a bit of personality. Instead of just claiming a coupon, you pick prizes or complete tasks for extra spins and free play on Mafia Casino, which made the promo page feel more interactive than at very plain brands like Christchurch.

Where the bonuses fall short

  • Not the most forgiving wagering requirements – A 35x wagering requirement on bonus funds plus 40x on free spin winnings makes the Mafia Casino bonus spins tougher to clear than offers at Wheelz or SkyCity's.
  • No standard no deposit offer – There's currently no Mafia Casino no deposit bonus, so if you're specifically hunting for these elusive no deposit free spins, casinos like Cactus Casino will be more appealing.
  • Relatively high wagering for other bonuses – The reload and cashback bonuses can have wagering requirements ranging from 1x to 40x, depending on the type, so always read the terms before you commit.

Expert tip: Because the welcome package has 35x/40x wagering and a 10-day expiry, I'd keep deposits modest, treat the bonus as a nice boost, and never chase losses just to clear the terms.

Ongoing rewards for the Mafia "family"

Once I'd used my welcome offer, I headed to the Promotions page to see what they have for regulars that stick around. Mafia Casino leans into its theme with a steady rotation of weekly offers: reload free spins, live-casino cashback, and other cashback deals that help soften a bad run.

Most deals are simple to qualify for: deposit a set amount, opt in on the promo page or in the cashier, and play eligible games. I appreciated that terms were visible up front, so I wasn't guessing what counted towards each reward.

In terms of value, the structure feels competitive for NZ players. It has a few less in terms of promotions than sites like LuckyWins (Mafia's five compared to LuckyWins' seven), but it's on par with casinos like Neon54. I never felt forced to chase every offer, but there was usually something available if I did want that extra boost.

Promos that stood out to me:

  • Weekly cashback on net losses – Low 1x wagering makes this one of the fairest recurring offers.
  • Live casino cashback events – Extra value if you prefer blackjack, roulette, or game shows over pokies.

A stacked lobby of pokies, tables, and more

Pokies dominate the space in the Mafia Casino lobby, but I also found roulette, blackjack, baccarat, video poker, jackpots, and a separate live casino tab. There's even a full sportsbook built into the same platform.

I started with a couple of classic-style pokies from Pragmatic, then switched to Sylvan Spirits, a fantastical Red Tiger slot, to see how the site handled bonus rounds and fast spins. Everything loaded quickly in my browser, and switching between games didn't cause any lag or crashes. From there, I jumped into a Pragmatic Play live blackjack table to see how the live casino stacked up.

Mafia doesn't publish an exact game count, but based on how many providers are listed and published estimates, it is easily over 30,000 high-quality pokie games. That puts it well ahead of NZ staples like SkyCity (around 1,900+ games) or Christchurch Casino (2,000+ games) and much closer to large operators such as BigClash or LuckyWins, both of which also have over 30,000 titles.

Games are grouped into broad categories like Top, New, Exclusive, Top Live Casino Games, and Game Shows, so I never felt totally lost, even with the huge selection. My personal favourite session was bouncing between a bonus-buy pokie, then changing pace with low-stakes blackjack in the live lobby.

Game highlights from the "family"

  • Huge variety in one place – Pokies, table games, live dealer titles, jackpots, and full sports betting all sit under one roof, unlike Jackpot City, which doesn't host any sports betting.
  • 100+ providers – With heavyweights like Spinomenal, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, and Yggdrasil on board, the quality of the titles available puts Mafia Casino on par with big brands like Supabet and Golden Crown.
  • Clear front-page categories – Tabs like Top, New, Exclusive, Top Live Casino Games, and Game Shows made it easy for me to dip into something fresh without wading through endless menus. These categories are great for newer players who aren't sure what to play as well.

Where the lobby could be cleaner

  • Sheer volume can be overwhelming – With thousands of casino games and 100+ providers, the lobby can feel crowded and could lead to decision fatigue if you're not sure what you want to play.
  • Limited advanced filtering – You can browse by broad category, but you don't get the really granular filters (RTP, volatility, mechanics) that would help keen players slice through such a huge catalogue.

Live casino with a TV-show feel

The live casino is one of the stronger parts of Mafia Casino's game library. Backed by Pragmatic Play Live, and other reputable studios, you get a full spread of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker-style tables, and game shows.

I hopped into a couple of blackjack tables, specifically Infinite Blackjack and ONE Blackjack, and then tried Crazy Time, a game show title with wheel spins and side bets. Streams were stable, and the dealers were professional, very much in line with what I'd expect from a similar site like Wheelz or Supabet casino.

In terms of breadth, it doesn't feel quite as enormous as Supabet's huge live lobby, but it's comfortably ahead of many casinos that only offer a handful of live tables, such as Christchurch Casino.

Play for free and test the waters

Mafia Casino is primarily built around real-money play. However, if you'd like to test out a pokie before you commit real money, Mafia Casino lets you launch most pokies and many table games in demo mode. I loved using it for testing new titles without touching my actual balance. But remember: whatever you "win" on demo mode does not convert to any real money.

If you want to explore even more free games before committing, you can also play hundreds of pokies and table casino games in free mode directly on Casino Guru.

Software providers

For Kiwi players, Mafia Casino reads like a who's who of game studios. I spotted Spinomenal, Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, Quickspin, Novomatic, Hacksaw Gaming, Microgaming, and Betsoft, alongside dozens of smaller providers. It's one of the broadest lineups I've seen at an NZ online casino.

In practice, that means you can jump from classics like 9 Pots of Gold (Microgaming) and Fortune of Olympus (Pragmatic Play) to high-volatility hits such as Gates of Olympus 1000 (Pragmatic Play). Then you can cool off by the water with Arctic Catch (Yggdrasil) or a fun Pragmatic Play Live game show like Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Expert tip: If you're hunting for something specific, the easiest way is to use the search bar and type either the game name or provider. Alternatively, if you're not sure what to play, pick one of the categories on the home page.

Banking with the "family" at Mafia Casino

When I tested Mafia Casino's cashier, the first thing that jumped out was the sheer choice of quick casino payment methods. There are over 40 ways to move money overall, with around 20 for players in New Zealand, from everyday options like Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, and vouchers like PaysafeCard and Neosurf and a long list of cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC, DOGE, and more).

Deposits were instant for me with a standard debit card, and the minimum deposit to trigger the Mafia Casino welcome bonus is $20. That's a bit higher than some NZ staples, but still reasonable if you're planning a proper session.

Withdrawals are where the small print matters. Mafia Casino processes requests within three business days, and actual payout times range from "near instant" on some methods, such as e-wallets, to 3–5 businessdays with bank transfers. This means that in some cases, withdrawals could take a total of eight businessdays, though you're more likely to have fast casino cashout while playing at Mafia versus other casinos.

There's also a hard withdrawal cap for most players of $1,000 per day and $13,000 per month (which increases with your VIP or Loyalty tiers), which is on par with casinos like Supabet, but tighter than high-roller-focused sites like Wheelz (a limit of $10,000 per day and $100,000 per month).

Compared with local brands like Christchurch Casino or SkyCity, Mafia Casino's mix of fiat and crypto feels far more flexible, especially if you like keeping your gambling bankroll separate in an e-wallet or crypto wallet.

Payment strengths

  • Plenty of ways to pay and cash out – Between cards, e-wallets, bank transfer, vouchers, and multiple coins, I never felt "stuck" with one option. It's a much broader mix than you'll find at most NZ online casinos.
  • Crypto-friendly setup – Being able to fund and cash out in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Dogecoin, and more makes Mafia Casino feel closer to Supabet or Golden Crown than to more old-school casinos like SkyCity or Wheelz.
  • Instant deposits, clear limits – My card deposit landed instantly, and the daily ($1,000) and monthly ($13,000) withdrawal caps are clearly spelled out.
  • Good mix of mainstream options – Sticking to Visa/Mastercard plus a popular e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller will feel familiar to most Kiwis. If you've played at Boomerang-Bet or AllySpin, the process here will feel very similar.

Where payments miss the mark

  • Higher entry point for bonuses – Having to deposit $20 to unlock the Mafia Casino welcome bonus is noticeably higher than the $10 thresholds you'll see at some competitors like Wheelz.
  • Tighter withdrawal caps – The $1,000 daily and $13,000 monthly withdrawal limits are fine for casual, small-stakes players, but they're restrictive if you hit a big win compared with the looser limits available at Wheelz or even LuckyWins.
  • Not all methods work everywhere – Mafia Casino technically supports 40+ payment methods, but some of them (like Interac) won't show for NZ players. It's not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of if you've seen them mentioned elsewhere online.

How to deposit at Mafia Casino

Here's how I made my first deposit at Mafia Casino in five easy steps:

  1. Logged in and clicked the red Deposit button at the top of the page.
  2. Chose my payment method (I went with Mastercard for the first test run).
  3. Entered my amount, making sure it was at least $20 to qualify for the welcome bonus, which you'll see at the top.
  4. Confirmed my details and submitted the payment. Funds landed instantly.
  5. I later completed KYC (ID + proof of address) when required. You'll see when you need to complete this on your Account Details > Verification.

Safety, fine print, and fair play

When I'm trying a new online casino, the first things I look for are: will they actually pay out, and are the rules fair? On our Safety Index, Mafia Casino scores 8.3, which puts it firmly in the "High" range, which is a plus for us.

That 8.3 score comes from a mix of factors: the quality of the T&Cs, how many unresolved player complaints we've seen, how serious those complaints are, and the casino's overall size and track record.

Mafia Casino is licensed by Anjouan Gaming in Comoros, which is a common offshore regulator. The licence itself doesn't directly increase or decrease our Safety Index, but it does set the background for how we view the brand, and we would be happier if they obtained another licence from a more well-regarded authority.

When I dug into the T&Cs, I noticed a few clauses that we classify as somewhat unfair, particularly around bonus winning caps for no deposit bonuses, bonus hunting strategies, and low-risk play, all of which could lead to winnings being confiscated.

On the positive side, there are no blacklist red flags and no unresolved direct player complaints in our system. Overall, I felt comfortable playing here, but I'd still be a little more cautious than I would at a Very High-rated NZ casino.

Safety: what it does well

  • High Safety Index score – An 8.3 rating puts Mafia Casino in our "High" safety band, above even Christchurch Casino and Spinight.
  • No blacklist appearances – We haven't flagged Mafia Casino on any casino blacklists, which reassured me that there's no obvious history of refusing to pay players.
  • Low direct complaint levels – At the time of writing, there were no unresolved complaints about Mafia Casino in our database, which is a great sign for a newer brand, as they have invested time into finding resolutions to problems.

What could be improved

  • Some unfair terms – Our review of the T&Cs found clauses we don't love, particularly around bonus play. It's not predatory, but it does justify a bit of extra caution.
  • Better options for risk-averse players – If you put safety above everything else, casinos with Very High Safety Index scores, like Boomerang-Bet and Neon54, will still feel more reassuring than Mafia Casino's 8.3.

Can Mafia Casino keep up on mobile?

On mobile, Mafia Casino felt surprisingly smooth for a newer site. I tested it on my iPhone 16 browser (Safari) on both Wi-Fi and data, and the layout automatically resized without any weird zooming or cut-off buttons.

The full lobby is available on mobile. Pokies, live casino, sports betting, cashier, and bonuses are all available, so I never had to jump back to desktop to finish anything. I could claim the Mafia Casino welcome bonus, opt in to promos, and even upload verification documents straight from my phone.

There's no dedicated iOS or Android app yet, which puts it behind app-first brands like Jackpot City. But in terms of pure browser performance as a good mobile casino, it felt comparable to well-known casinos like LuckyWins or Wheelz: quick to load, easy to scroll, and stable even during live dealer sessions.

What Mafia Casino gets right on mobile

  • Full experience in your browser – I could access the entire game library, promos, and cashier from my phone, not a cut-down "lite" version.
  • Easy bonus management – Claiming the Mafia Casino bonus, checking wagering, and tracking rewards all worked fine from mobile, so I never felt tied to my laptop and could play on the go.
  • Stable live casino on data – Live blackjack and game shows like Crazy Time ran smoothly for me on 4G, with no stuttering. That felt closer to what I experienced at LuckyWins than at smaller NZ mobile casinos, where live tables can lag or drop out entirely.
  • Simple top-level navigation – Tabs like Top, New, Exclusive, and Game Shows stayed visible and easy to tap on mobile. It reminds me of a darker-themed version of Vegasino's easily navigated mobile casino.

What bugged me on mobile

  • No dedicated app – There's currently no Mafia Casino app in the Apple or Google stores, which is a downside if you prefer native apps and push notifications.
  • Slightly busy layout – The dark theme and packed lobby can feel cramped on smaller screens, especially compared with simpler mobile designs at Koru Casino.

Customer support when things go sideways

When I review a new casino, I always poke at customer support to see how it holds up under basic questions. At Mafia Casino, I tested both live chat and email, both of which are available 24/7.

Live chat sits in the bottom-left corner and connected me to an agent within a matter of minutes each time I tried it (once mid-morning, once late evening NZ time). I asked about the Mafia Casino welcome bonus wagering and verification documents, and both agents gave clear, specific, human answers rather than copy-pasted responses.

However, when it came to questions outside of what is already available on the website's FAQ or outside of the customer support agent's scope, support did not escalate to help me get the answers. This often led to a standstill.

For longer questions, you can email [email protected]. My email about withdrawal limits and self-exclusion tools was answered overnight, landing in my inbox the next morning. That's fine by NZ standards, but lagging behind AllySpin, which has a response time of 1–2 hours.

There's also an FAQ page covering basics like payments, account issues, and bonuses. It isn't as deep as the help centre at Wheelz, but it was enough to solve some simple questions.

Good experiences with customer support

  • Relatively fast live chat responses – Both times I used live chat, I was connected to an agent in a few minutes, which is on par with casinos like Vegasino.
  • Clear, practical answers – Agents explained wagering rules, bonus eligibility, and KYC documents in plain language. It felt closer to my experience at LuckyWins than to sites where you get generic copy-paste replies.
  • Solid FAQ for quick fixes – The FAQ covered common issues like delayed payouts, verification, and promo eligibility, so I could answer small questions myself without always opening chat.

What could be better

  • No phone or social channels – Mafia Casino sticks to live chat and email only. If you like having a phone number to call or Telegram, you'll miss those extra contact options here. However, with that said, this tends to be the industry norm and is more of a big plus if a casino has it than a negative.
  • Email and live chat are on the slower side – Getting a reply the next morning is fine, but casinos like AllySpin can answer within a couple of hours. Even live chat was sometimes on the slower end, depending on the time of day. Others are quicker, as I found in my SkyCity review, which responds within 1–2 minutes.

How we tested

Channel Response time
Live Chat 1-10 minutes
Email 12–24 hours

How to join "the family" and claim your bonus

Getting started at Mafia Casino was pretty straightforward for me, but there are a couple of details worth watching so you do not miss the Mafia Casino welcome bonus. I completed everything on desktop first, then checked it on mobile to make sure the process felt consistent.

How to register:

  1. Click the Register button on the homepage.
  2. Choose your welcome bonus and make sure you're able to meet the minimum deposit amount.
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. Provide personal details like your name, date of birth, country, currency (NZD), and address. I usually like to complete KYC checks here to ensure no delays on my withdrawals later.
  5. Log in to your new account.

From there, I went straight to the cashier to make my first deposit. I chose Mastercard, entered my amount, and made sure it was at least $20, so I would qualify for the 250% deposit match Mafia Casino bonus and 150 free spins. Make sure the welcome bonus is selected at the top.

My funds appeared instantly, and the bonus was credited right away. KYC came later, when I requested a withdrawal, and I had to upload my ID and proof of address.

Final verdict – Big lobby, solid safety, mind the limits

Overall, Mafia Casino felt like a serious contender for Kiwi players rather than a throwaway new brand. Gameplay was smooth across thousands of pokies and a strong live casino, and I liked being able to switch between slots, tables, and sports without leaving the site.

The Mafia Casino bonus is generous on paper (250% up to $4,000 plus 150 free spins), but the 35x/40x wagering and 10-day window push it towards regular players planning on logging in frequently rather than total beginners. I'd treat it as a boost, not something to chase at all costs.

On the safety side, the 8.3 Safety Index score puts Mafia Casino in our "High" band, which makes it recommendable for most players, but not quite in the same comfort bracket as Very High-rated NZ casinos like Wheelz. That said, mobile play was better than I expected, and while customer support isn't perfect, live chat and email were good enough for everyday issues.

The name says it all: Mafia is truly that bad, it couldn't be worse. 18 days and still no payout. This can't be Rose Casino, I strongly advise against it, people, never ever play at Mafia Casino!!!!!
  • Just fooling and lying
  • 18 days and still no payment, just promises that I'm in the queue, that payment is a priority, and every time it's the same thing: just lies upon lies.

I've played on many sites with the same layout as this one but never had any problems... the withdrawal times are biblical today even though they say their times are 3/5 working days I'm still waiting for 500 euros after 7 working days, and the support always responds with vague answers without ever giving a concrete answer.
  • Wide selection of games
  • Lens collection
  • Useless live support
  • Customer support more useless than ever

The negative points sum it up well. Withdrawals usually take forever and are only processed Monday through Friday. Furthermore, no tools for responsible gaming are provided. Customer service reacts very allergically to such inquiries and immediately ends the conversation. All in all, typical for NovaForge Ltd. No idea why they always get such high ratings from Casinoguru.

I made my first deposit there. The session was fun and had its ups and downs. I didn't win anything through the deposit and bonuses, but I did win through the free spins afterwards. I was able to wager the maximum real money amount of €50 and have now requested a withdrawal. This is the first withdrawal I've requested from the operator, so I hope it goes through without any major issues.

Addendum: The payout was successful and absolutely straightforward; a good experience. It took three days, but the money arrived without any problems.

Stay AWAY if you actually want the money you win!
Okay so I was steadily depositing and playing for almost a month. I spent over $5,000 CAD. I was able to climb to a VIP level 4. Level 4 allows you to withdraw $1,500 per day.

Friday August 15th 2025 I deposited $110. I received a deposit bonus of $165. I had to wager $275x20($5500). I did. I actually did very well. I completed their wager requirement and I continued playing I won $12,340. I cashed out $1500 increments for 5 days. note i was not placing any bets during this 5 day period. I wanted to actually ensure that I would receive the money and I was....at first. I'd make the withdrawal request at 9pm by 1pm the following day I'd receive it. August 20th I went to withdraw $1500. I couldn't. With no notice I was demoted to a level 1. At this level you can withdrawal $750 per day monthly max is $10,500. I was told it was due to withdrawals made and bonuses received that's why their "system" demoted me. The one support staff told me she wasn't allowed to help me any further..shady but ok fine whatever..I make the request for $750 on the 20th. I receive the payment on the 23rd as you can see they are now delaying the withdrawal requests. Their staff are useless and just repeat their ridiculous terms. I tried asking how VIP worked and was told that if you're actively placing bets that your level would increase. I ended up playing again I had $8236 in my real balance. I played through ALL of it. My VIP status did not change at all still level 1 at 0%.
In conclusion, if you actually want to receive money you win don't play here. There's many others that will actually pay you winnings without hassle or delays and them hiding behind their VIP status crap is a joke. I was a loyal player to this casino. I have since requested my account be closed. Their terms and conditions are completely ridiculous I wish I would have read them all before hand. They blame any discrepancies you face on their "system". For a new casino that just opened July 2025 their off to a bad start!

The online casino offers a decent selection of games, including popular slots and table games. The platform is user-friendly, and registration is quick and easy. However, the site can occasionally lag during peak hours, which impacts the overall experience. Payout times are average—reliable but not particularly fast. Bonuses are fair but come with high wagering requirements that may not appeal to all players.

Customer support is available, but response times can vary. Live chat is helpful when available, though it’s not always online, and email responses sometimes take longer than expected. While the casino covers the basics, there’s definitely room for improvement in performance, bonus transparency, and customer service availability.
  • Friendly customer support
  • Fair bonuses
  • Sometimes lag
  • An unreviewable site for people who are not experienced in online gambling
