So I have been a regular player at Platincasino for around 15 moths now. The last half of this period I have, with few expectations, reached the status of being a Platin-player meaning I have deposited at least 1000 euros each moth. During 2022 alone, so far I have lost more than 6000 euros.

For Platin-level players Platincasino offers a 10% cashback each week. However you must wager the amount 1 time and you can only transfer the same sum as you received to your real money account. (If I receive 20 euro and when I wager these one time and maybe wins 1000 euro, I still can only transform 20 euro to real money and I loose the rest of the money won). So far so good, bad terms yes, but it is what it is right?!

Yesterday, after I lost 637 euros last week, I received a cash-back of 25,49 euros (you don't get cashback on money you lost when depositing together with a bonus :-/). I wagered the money and transformed the remaining 13.49 euro to real money. Then I continued to play as usual.

For once I had some luck, but mostly because I finally came up to fulfilled meters on Vikings go Berzerk and Vikings go to Hell (after putting in hundreds of euros on them for several weeks), so I won. When I felt satisfied with the session I had 450 euro on my real money account and I made a withdrawal on the whole sum. (As said not even the full sum of what I lost the last week alone, but at least I was happy I got some of it back).

Some hours later my pending withdrawal was cancelled and I instead got 25,49 euro (the cashback amount) on my account and with the text "Fraud amount" as the reason for canceling my withdrawal.

Apparently Platin Casino has some insane rule that I never heard about before and never got a victim off before, saying:

"...The max. amount that can be converted into real money equals the cashback amount. Any winnings made with the cashback amount before or after conversion are subject to a max. payout amount equal to the cashback granted."

So this means I should have made a withdrawal of the 13,49 euro cashback I transformed into real money and then made a deposit of 13,49 euro again directly afterwards before continue playing. That I did not do this withdrawal and deposit is my full crime, my "fraud". Nowhere was there any warnings about this. Nowhere it showed in my account that these 13,49 was bonus-money or against the rules to play with - they were there visible on the ordinary account EXACTLY like they would have been if I deposited the sum. Never once have this bin a problem in the past.

I have been in contact with the customer support as well as the so called VIP support (through e-mail of course since they never answer in the "live-chat" even if you wait for hours). They refuse to move an inch and will not even give some kind of good will compensation. They think that I should be happy that I got back the cashback amount of 25,49 euro and if it does not fit me I can go play somewhere else. Nice treatment of a customer they earned a lot of money on the last year...

I now understand that I broke a condition of their rules regarding the cash back, but can it even be a legal rule?! What purpose does the rule have other than giving Platincasino the possibility to scam their players and steal their money like they did in this case? I didnt get any advantages whatsoever continue playing instead of first making a withdrawal and then deposit the same amount again. The Casino wont get any advantages by me doing this - on the opposite they should of course be very happy when their players keep spending their money instead of making a withdrawal.

Can the casinos have whatever rules they feel like? Could they for example have a rule saying that you are not allowed to play on their site Tuesdays 11 a clock and if you do so anyway they have the right to steal your money? Such a rule would have make the exact same amount of sense as this cash back rule that this errand is about.

I first try to get justice here through Casinoguru and if I wont get it I will file a complaint at MGA and as a last resort I will go to court. The act from this scam company must be seen as criminal behavior and must be stopped before more people get their money stolen.

Hello Simon,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint and I'm really sorry to hear about your issue with Platin Casino. Please allow me to ask you a few more question before we would move forward.

Did you try to contact the casino with this issue and if yes, what was their exact respond? Was the money after wagering through the cash back bonus converted into real balance or it remained as a bonus balance.

Based on the term they describe, even after converting the cash back bonus to real money it is still considered as winnings from the cash back. Mostly every bonus ends when a player withdraw the amount. It might see as unfair as it is exactly the same as you would just withdraw and deposit the real money again but unfortunately it is a standard procedure in many casinos.

Looking forward to your answer.

Regards,

Nick

Their response was that this is what their rules look like and that they can do nothing about it. No one is forcing me to accept cash back or play on their site.

The bonus balance was converted to the regular balance after I pressed a button that says convert bonus amounts to real money.

I do not even understand how this can be legal. Is there any casino that has ever bothered to answer WHY? How can it be better for the casino that I withdraw the money and deposit it again than that I continue to play? How can this be considered fraud when it does not give me any benefits at all?

Hello Simon,

Basically it means no difference but unfortunately that how it work in most casinos. The bonuses mostly ends after withdrawing the money as until you have them on your account even after finishing the wagering, they are considered as winnings generated from bonus money.

I'm really sorry but we are not really able to do anything in this case as the casino done nothing wrong. You can still however try to contact the licensing authorities of the casino if you still wish to continue resolving the case.

We will be however forced to reject the complaint. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you will come across any other trouble in the future, we will gladly try to help you.

Regards,

Nick
