The fact that JustCasino supports both fiat currency and ten different crypto coins was another perk. Crypto is still an emerging trend in the casino world, so an ample choice is always welcome.

Unfortunately, not everything impressed me. While the platform has an above average Safety Index score of 6.8, it still has room for improvement compared with the top Canadian casinos.

This comes down to what I consider to be somewhat shady bonus terms. JustCasino may void bonuses and winnings if players use strategies like Martingale (which doesn't work long term) or place max bets on high Return to Player (RTP) percentage games to clear wagering.

Where the takeoff was bumpy

• No dedicated JustCasino app – There isn't a dedicated mobile app, so you can only access the casino through your phone's browser. Although I had a largely positive experience on my iPhone browser, I did miss the fluency of having a genuine app, which you can find at Jackpot City and Spin Casino.
• Promotional terms and conditions issues – The casino has some concerning small print in the bonus T&Cs, which suggests it might confiscate your bonus cash if it thinks you use strategies to complete wagering requirements, like focusing on high RTP slots.
• Slow customer support – Although the casino offers a 24/7 live chat, the casino doesn't always reply instantly. I sometimes waited up to an hour for a response, while Legiano usually responds within a few minutes.

A big welcome bonus with tricky terms

When I signed up, the welcome package immediately stood out. I was offered $5,000 in matched funds and 400 free spins across my first five deposits. That is far higher than the casino welcome bonuses at Canadian competitors like Supabet and Legiano, which go up to $750 with 200 spins, or Jackpot City at $1,600.

I found the first two deposits gave the most value. My first deposit was matched up to $500 with 100 spins, and the second was matched up to $500 with 50 spins.

JustCasino offers a colorful variety of games inside its 10,000+ library. This puts it in the mid-size category alongside the likes of Tooniebet (10,200+). However, it trails casinos such as Supabet, Legiano, and Mafia Casino, all of which have 30,000+ real money casino games.

The scale means endless themes and features, with major providers like Pragmatic Play, BGaming, Playtech, Hacksaw Gaming, Novomatic, and Booming Games. At times, the size felt overwhelming, especially since the main menu has limited filters. More than once, I caught myself scrolling through pages without knowing what to play.

Scrolling past the generic "slots" tab, I found themed collections like "Mythology," "Wolf Games," and "Hollywood." These real money online slots series provided a whole new angle to explore. They brought a freshness to my gaming experience, though I wish they were highlighted in the main menu.

I tested popular slots like Gates of Olympus by Pragmatic and Wanted Dead or a Wild by Hacksaw Gaming. Both loaded quickly and ran smoothly, with crisp graphics. I find playing familiar games is the best way to gauge how a casino performs, and I'm happy to say they were smooth and fast to load, with crisp, vibrant graphics.

Next, I explored the many table games. The categories covered include roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and poker, each with plenty of variations. I also tried sic bo and keno, though I could only find them through the search bar.

Generally speaking, JustCasino's virtual table games stick to a classic and realistic aesthetic, without many bells and whistles. Personally, I prefer to keep the more out-there designs for slots and keep things classic when it comes to blackjack or roulette.

Where the galaxy of games impressed

• 10,000+ games – The huge game library kept me entertained for weeks, as I was still finding new titles to try. Smaller sites like Spin, with around 1,500+ games, usually have me tap out in a week.

Where the spark was missing

• Difficult to browse – Limited categories and filters make the library challenging to explore, especially when compared to better-designed sites like Monro, which offer advanced filtering tools. Themed slot collections show real promise, but since they aren't clearly displayed, you could easily overlook them.
• No demo mode – Unlike casinos such as PlayAmo or Jackpot City, you can't play free casino games in demo mode. This is a pity, especially for casual players or anyone learning the ropes with unfamiliar table games.

The casino's game collection is powered by over 110 software providers. To put that in perspective, many Canadian casinos, like Supabet or Spinsy, feature around 50 to 60 providers.

I've got nothing but positive things to say here. I loved being able to dive into familiar favorites, while also having tons of new games at my fingertips waiting to be discovered, too.

Being able to filter by provider is great too. After some testing, I realized that I really liked the minimal but realistic design of Platipus table games. This is a provider I was super familiar with before, and I wound up slowly working my way through every one of its games.

The live casino unpacked

JustCasino has over 1,000 live dealer games, covering blackjack, roulette, game shows, high-stakes games, baccarat, poker, and more. Typically, at a Canadian casino, you might find a few hundred titles, like at Monro (400), or fewer, like at Spin Casino (70), so I was more than impressed with this collection.

The live casino titles are from five top player-favorite studios: Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Absolute Live Gaming, Iconic 21, and Lucky Streak. Playtech is the main provider, supplying over 500 of its titles.

I particularly enjoyed testing out the live game shows, especially titles like Dice City and Snakes & Ladders Live, adding something fresh to the usual live casino classics. For example, I could deposit with Bitcoin for as little as 0.0001 (around $16), which is lower than competitors like Legiano or Supabet, where the equivalent amount is $45.

My experience with depositing during my JustCasino review was straightforward, whether using a fiat or crypto method. All the same crypto methods are available for withdrawals, as well as Interac, Inpay, and MiFinity for fiat currencies.

When I tested out withdrawals, the quickest withdrawal methods were by far the cryptocurrencies. Once the team approved them, the crypto was in my wallet within seconds. Using Interac was more convenient, but it did take a few days to be processed.

Does JustCasino play by the rules?

The casino has the essentials in place, but there's still room for improvement for its overall security. This is reflected in its Casino Guru's Safety Index, where it scores 6.8, placing it only in the top 52% of casinos we've reviewed.

This sounds fine, but not when you compare it to other Canadian casinos, like Lemon Casino, which has a score of 9.8 out of 10 (top 2%), and LuckyWins, which has a score of 9.6 (top 4%).

The main reasons for JustCasino's subpar score are some unfair terms and conditions buried in the bonus small print, along with a low win limit of $50,000 per day. We've also received 45 complaints about it. Of these, 19 were resolved and none were left unresolved. Most centred around delayed and withheld withdrawals.

Where the casino defies gravity

Where a mayday call was needed

• Withdrawal delays – Many complaints contributing to the lower safety score are about slow approval times and withheld payouts.

Ownership

Dama N.V. owns JustCasino and we estimate they have the revenue of a medium-sized casino. The company runs many leading sites, including LuckyWins and PlayAmo, both of which have earned higher Safety Index ratings. However, Dama N.V. is not without its own issues. In June 2024, the Curaçao courts initiated bankruptcy proceedings against them, after accusations of withholding winnings for German and Austrian players.

Security features

The casino's privacy policy states that encryption, firewalls, and regular security audits are in place to protect sensitive data, but that is the industry standard. Unlike sites such as LuckyWins, two-factor authentication (2FA) isn't offered.

How JustCasino measures up on mobile

There isn't an online casino app for iOS and Android, which puts it behind other Canadian casinos like Jackpot City or Spin Casino. While writing my JustCasino review, I had to use the website through its browser.

However, the website adapted well to mobile use, and everything ran exactly like the desktop version. The entire game library is available from mobile and I'm a big fan of the general design, too. It's sleek, modern, and feels like a proper high-end casino experience.

Support is there, but requires patience

Signing up was straightforward and didn't take me long. All I had to do was enter my email, date of birth, and phone number. It took me around two minutes before my account was up and running, and I'd put it on par with signing up for similar Canadian casinos.

The welcome bonus worth up to $5,000 is a clear highlight, far ahead of most competing sites. It's more than enough to get stuck into the impressive library of over 10,000 games, which is more than the likes of Lemon (5,400+) and Spin (1,000+).

JustCasino's ongoing promotions impressed me too, with regular cashback, bonus spins, daily offers, a loyalty program, and a VIP scheme. On top of this, unlike competitors such as Jackpot City, it supports 10 cryptocurrencies as well as fiat methods.

Where the casino fell short for me was in customer support and overall security. Response times are slow, and I was concerned by the bonus terms and conditions, which suggest that bonus cash might be confiscated if you use strategies like focusing on high RTP slots.
