The player from the UK was attempting to withdraw her funds from an online casino, but the casino was requesting an ID card or passport for verification. The player only had a driving license and believed it should have been accepted as a valid form of identification. We explained the importance of the KYC process to the player and asked for further information about the casino's response to her driving license. However, the player did not respond to our queries for further information. As a result, we were unable to continue the investigation and the complaint was rejected.

I have asked to withdraw and they say they don't accept driving licence which is perfectly good id it's as good as a passport they want an id card or a passport I don't own a passport I'm a UK citizen born and breed here I've never needed one I no fine well they accept driving license as I've seen it on this site about them can you please help many thanks

Please understand that KYC is a very important and essential process, during which the casino makes sure that the money is sent to the rightful owner. As they don't have the luxury of being able to physically see all of the players and check their identification and documents, this is the only way gambling establishments are able to complete the verification procedures. None of the serious and licensed casinos take KYC lightly and it might take a few working days to complete this thorough process. 

Have you received any explanation from the casino as to why your driver's license could not be accepted? Is all the information on your driver's license clear and visible?

Has the casino given you any alternative for an acceptable ID besides a passport?
