The player from Minnesota had won 2nd place in a free tournament but had the $30 prize confiscated due to a supposed violation of terms regarding the use of free play chips. The Complaints Team reviewed the casino's terms and conditions and found that players were prohibited from participating in multiple free tournaments consecutively without making a real money deposit. Consequently, it was determined that the casino had acted in accordance with its stated rules, and the complaint was closed as no further action could be taken.

I play in the casinos "free" tournaments daily. I won 2nd place today and was to receive 30$... however it was confiscated due to a violation of their t&c for multiple free play chips used without real money deposit. I didn't use a free chip. It's a FREE TOURNAMENT. so it seems very unfair to list them as daily free tournaments when they are in fact not free as u have to deposit daily if you want to keep any winnings you might receive. FALSE ADVERTISING. Their daily free spins says you can't claim if you haven't made a deposit so why would I be able to play in the tournament if I didn't deposit? It misleading and very upsetting to win and be told sorry but we are keeping the money. I wonder did the 4th place winner then get the 3rd place money and the 3rd place get bumped to 2nd or do they just keep the money so nobody wins and the whole thing is a sham.

Dear Lgordon80,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem. I checked the General T&Cs and I found this:

12. The Player may not consecutively play in Free Roll tournaments. Should a Player play in one Free Roll tournament, the Player must make a real money deposit into his account to be eligible to play in a second Free Roll tournament.

Please note that the vast majority of online casinos prohibit players from participating in multiple free tournaments consecutively. In an ideal world, this would be enforced on a software level, however, as of now, as long as the casino states this clearly in its T&Cs, we cannot penalize the casino for confiscating your winnings, nor we are in a position to force the casino to return you the winnings. Therefore, we believe the casino denied your winnings in compliance with their terms.

I can only recommend that you always check the General and Tournament T&Cs before you participate and keep in mind that casinos usually do not allow this type of playing.

Please, let me know if there is anything else I could help you with, otherwise, I will be forced to close this complaint.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Kristina

Ya I went back and read that too... although I still feel that it's like false advertisement or something along those lines because it really isn't a free tournament then, is it?? I mean I can't claim multiple bonuses, it won't let you, so why would it let me play multiple tournaments?? And I highly doubt they gave the winnings to the next highest winner. I'm sure they kept the money because after they took the money from me I went back and looked and it still had me listed as 2nd place winner even though I wasn't anymore... thanks for your quick response. I appreciate everything you guys do for us players.

Thank you for your reply, Lgordon80. I understand your frustration, and ideally, casinos shouldn't allow players to claim bonuses and participate in tournaments if they aren't eligible for them. However, as of now, this is an industry standard, therefore we do not penalize casinos if they do not enforce this on a software level yet. At this point, I can only recommend that you read all General and Bonus T&Cs thoroughly to avoid similar issues in the future.

Due to the aforementioned reasons, this complaint will now be closed. Thank you for your understanding, I am sorry we could not be of more help on this occasion. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you run into any issues with this or any other casino in the future.
