I am not here to purely point my finger at CG but I am here because I have spent the past 2 weeks or so researching casinos and the Curaçao licensing model, after realising dubious descriptors on my bank statement.

I had no idea such practices were happening in casinos and that is why I stopped playing and started investigating! (I have spent hours and hours researching and writing to Governments, Legislators, Policymakers and other legislative bodies) in order to pass on my knowledge to help others!

My own vulnerabilities make me a victim for unscrupulous operators and my hope is to convey the pitfalls to others. This has been a big wake-up call for me!

I truly believe the shake up with Curaçao gambling and casino legislation is a welcomed SAFETY NET for VULNERABLE PLAYERS!

Hello. No harm done 🙂

My only intention was to add more about the interestingly complicated situation in Curacao.

Its result is not, for instance, very clear to me, and sadly, I had no time to spare on this subject, so I'm glad you came here.

On the other hand, this whole topic is rather general, and I would suggest creating a separate thread with a proper name, maybe something like "What you probably do not know about Curacao licensed casinos" 🤔

Keeping such a thread regularly updated would be a great addition. I also feel it would be more appropriate than here in the thread about a specific casino.

What do you think, please?

I opened an account at Fresh Bet yesterday and went from £650 to over £1,000. I submitted documentation for verification and waited, so I could make a withdrawal.

This morning the account has been closed, and I have been told I cannot access the balance, as I have violated their terms and conditions by having a duplicate account that has been previously closed and self-excluded.

I did not know I had a previous account, but could be so, but Fresh Bet allowed me to deposit multiple times and submit documents and play for several hours before restricting access to my money.

Has anyone seen this before, with this casino (group)?

Hello, of course, you should always make sure that you don't have an account in the casino if you know that you have played here in the past so that a similar situation doesn't happen and you don't open another one. Usually the casino will find out such a thing when they ask you for verification, but since you only verify it by your first withdrawal here, they have probably missed this information.

However, in such a situation I would recommend to file a complaint on this link and see if something could be done or helped with your case.

Are you in ?

Hello everyone, be aware they also suspended my account today for 6 months, after I requested a withdrawal. Obviously, my account was already fully verified. This is very dangerous, even 6 months during which they hold onto our money. Yet I only placed sports bets. I have 500 euros in there and certainly don't want to give up my winnings. I have never used any bonuses. They have also blocked all withdrawals, I cannot request any withdrawal.

I received the money today, but the account is still blocked. Ridiculous casino but thanks to askgamblers help I got the money so it turned out well. Anyway, I definitely do not recommend opening an account here.

So you opened a complaint on AskGamblers explaining the situation and they sent you the money? They have blocked the withdrawal section for me.

Yes, that's exactly what it was.

That's a real shame. Have they explained to you the reason for suspending your account, at least? Really sorry we can not be of any help here, as it is related to the sports betting and we don't have a branch dealing with it yet, but I can suggest three websites that do:

https://www.bookmakers.bet/submit-a-complaint/

https://www.top100bookmakers.com/contact-us/

https://www.sportsbookreview.com/sportsbook-complaint/

Please keep us informed about any updates regarding this.

Unfortunately, they told me what they tell everyone else, which is that the account is suspended for 6 months due to suspicious activity. There is no suspicious activity; I am fully verified both via video and ID card. I've just been lucky during this period with sports betting and have won several in a row. In my opinion, they consider that to be suspicious activity.

Well, do not know for sure, but the casinos usually have a good reason, whenever they investigate something. Not saying, that you were really trying to do something bad, don't take it that way, please. This doesn't need to be from your side, at all.🤷‍♀️

Looking at my account, I simply bet on sports like all the other people who experienced this, including marekvondrak . They probably got alarmed when in the last few bets I won a dozen in a row, but strangely, the previous week when I lost many in a row, they had nothing to say.

Ok, I understand. Have you got any news from the casino, or have you tried those sites I have posted, perhaps?

The casino keeps saying they'll hold my money for 6 months, which to me is inconceivable. I've filed a complaint on AskGamblers as advised by a gentleman in this thread. I've noticed several complaints regarding the exact same issue. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it seems like just as cryptocurrencies are rising in value, they've decided to lock up my money (and who knows how many others') for 6 months.

Through email, they keep saying that they can't unlock the money for 6 months. To me, it's truly absurd. I've also filed a complaint like you did: https://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/freshbet-casino-account-under-investigation-for-6-months

Hmm, I find it strange if a casino says it can keep your money for half a year. That certainly doesn't seem right to me and it's a pity that the case is about sports betting.

I am curious to see if you are able to get anywhere on the other site where you filed your complaint.

Could you update us after a while on what you managed to solve or how it went ?

They always use the same excuse; if you look at the complaints filed against FreshBet on the AskGamblers website, you'll see they almost always revolve around the same issue. Via email, they told me the investigation will last 6 months. So, they're holding onto my money for 6 months because withdrawals aren't unlocked with an account "under investigation." What a great casino!

even after this 6 months have passed they still do not send the funds, i have had same situation it happened in September when i tried withdrawing and they said 6 month investigation, now after 6 months they will probably just say we confiscate your funds.

anyway I will give them lawsuit in Cyprus where they are stationed

This situation is absurd! Those are our money. If we are not customers they like (probably because we have won too much according to their internal policies), they should close our account and return our money. Why should they keep our money? Have you also filed a complaint on ASKGAMBLERS? A gentleman who wrote here resolved through that complaint, so I opened one too. You should open one too because from what I see, the percentage of resolved complaints is very high, and they all have the same issue as us!
