Case summary

The player from China had been unable to bind his mobile number to his Mostbet account, which was a requirement for withdrawals. Despite reaching out to customer service and providing the requested verification codes, he hadn't received a resolution and then couldn't log in to his account at all. It appeared the player had been in contact with a fraudulent email address that did not belong to the casino. We had informed the player that the casino would never request such sensitive information and the issue fell under cybercrime jurisdiction. As such, we were unable to assist further and the complaint had been rejected.

Dear Casino Guru,

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my experience at Mostbet, which surprisingly holds a high rating. My ordeal began with an inability to bind my Chinese mobile number to my account, a requirement for withdrawing funds. I sought assistance from your online customer service, only to be told they couldn't resolve the issue and was advised to contact your support department via email.

Following their advice, I sent an email and received a delayed response that lacked professionalism, not what I would expect from a reputable casino. They requested my Telegram number for further communication. Subsequently, I received a password change verification code, claiming it was necessary to bind my mobile number. Initially skeptical about the authenticity of this request, I later confirmed it was official.

However, after sending the verification code, I was told it had expired and that another customer service representative would contact me. To this date, I have not received any further communication. Moreover, I am now unable to log into my account through any means, be it mobile or web, leading me to suspect I have encountered a fraudulent casino operation.

I am requesting your intervention to obtain a response from the casino. Enclosed are the email and Telegram correspondences between the casino and myself, along with details of my current login issues. My account ID is 133******.

Sincerely,

Jiachen

Dear 2218903601wjc,

Thank you for submitting your complaint. I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with MostBet Casino. To better understand your situation, could you please answer a few questions?

Firstly, could you share how you found the email address "id.mostbetsuport@gmail.com"? This address seems suspicious as casinos usually use their own domain names for their email addresses, not Gmail. Additionally, I noticed that there is a spelling mistake in the word "support", which should have double "p"s. When I checked the Contact Us section on the MostBet website, I found an email address that ends with support-en@mostbet.com, which is specific to the English version of the website. Other language versions have their own email addresses, but none of them are from Gmail.

Secondly, did the "support" team ask you to send them a code required to change your account password? If so, please be aware that you should never give away sensitive information like passwords or codes to anyone else. The casino would never ask for a code to change your password as that is something only you can do. Please remember to be cautious and do not share your sensitive data with third parties.

Can you please let me know what personal information you shared with the suspicious email support? Also, could you tell me when you started facing issues while logging into your account? Have you tried contacting the live chat directly on the casino website MostBet.com?

I hope we will be able to help you resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your response.

Best regards

Veronika

Dear Veronika, hello, I noticed on November 30 when I was preparing to withdraw funds that I couldn't bind my phone number, so I contacted online customer service. They first asked me which country I was from, and then they gave me this email address: support-en@mostbet.com, instructing me to contact them. I sent them several emails, and a few days later, I received an email from id.mostbetsuport@gmail.com asking for my Telegram account. When we contacted on Telegram, they asked me to send them the verification code. So, I inquired about their official Telegram to confirm that it was indeed their technical staff before sending it (although I also found it unbelievable to send such verification, as it doesn't seem like something an official service would do). But when I sent it, they said the time had already expired. After that, I couldn't get in touch anymore. Now, I can't contact them by email, nor can I log into my account. I attached screenshots in my first message, showing that every time I try to log in, it just keeps loading with no response. I hope to get your help. Thank you.

Please be aware that a casino never requests players to send their passwords or verification codes needed to change their passwords. Moreover, the email address most definitely does not belong to the casino. I am sorry but you have fallen victim to a fraud.

Regrettably, we do not handle matters related to cybercrimes. If your possessions have been stolen and subsequently misused, this falls under the jurisdiction of the police and your bank, rather than a mediator like us. Kindly recognize that we lack the legal authority and resources to conduct investigations or pursue prosecution of any potential culprits. Our perspective is that the responsibility for this crime lies with the individual who committed it, not with the casino.

Due to the aforementioned reasons, this complaint will now be rejected. Thank you for your understanding, I am sorry we could not be of more help on this occasion. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you run into any issues with this or any other casino in the future.
