The specialists also doubt that the law bill55 will stick, it sounds a bit promising.

Yes, Bill 55 protects the casinos until the EU has decided whether Bill 55 is illegal or not and Malta just thinks they are in the right.

Have any of you ever tried to sell your casino losses to various providers?

What does it look like there?

So you're giving away a lot. I just heard that the offers are far below the value

So far I have read from some that the offers for claims are around 10%. Whether it's true...who knows

I took a look at the posts here.

The opinions and assessments of how "Bill 55" impacts or could impact are very interesting. In my opinion, this law is purely about "wasting time" for the benefit of gambling operators who are "unauthorized" in some countries.

I expressly emphasize: What I have presented below is not legal advice, but rather my legal opinion. I can only expressly recommend that everyone get good legal advice!

So: The respective laws of the country in which the player is a national and plays regulate the legality of gambling (valid license or illegal gambling) and case law clarifies the right to reclaim through a judgment. This judgment is an "enforceable title" (!) (applies to German legislation) that is valid for 30 years and is therefore enforceable "Europe-wide"!!!

So if a Maltese gambling operator outside of Malta(!!) has a bank account, cash, real estate or other assets in any other European country, this title can be "executed" against him, in plain language "it can be seized", because Bill 55 and that "Delaying" "executions" only applies to Malta. This of course makes enforcement more complicated, more labor-intensive and more expensive (!) - "Malaga" has already written this clearly several times (!!!).

So why "Bill55"? What is the purpose of this "European illegal law" (according to the unanimous opinion of eminent lawyers) that (a???) Maltese MP introduced (has) and that was passed at "record speed"! In my opinion there are essentially two reasons:

  1. The aim is to unsettle (hopefully former) players so much that they fail to file a lawsuit after Bill 55 comes into force, or they only want to do so late, but then can no longer be successful because the proceedings before the ECJ take so long their claims are statute-barred!
  2. Give the gambling providers enough time to " liquidate " the existing company (that is not bankruptcy!), the "Schade"-Limited So " dissolve properly " and successfully offer "happiness" to the "addicts" again under the new name "Glück"-Limited (everything remains almost the same, the staff..., of course the "mailbox address", bank accounts etc. will be changed, possibly the management and it's good)! All lawsuits after "liquidation" - even if they have not yet expired - would be "in vain" and would no longer be successful!!! ! This is already happening for some (in Germany, for example, some have received a license from the GGL under a "new name")! So if these companies are given the time to "implement" this, they will come away "empty"! It should also be real There have been "bankruptcies"; even then you can leave "empty".

I am convinced that everyone who has a valid title or is now obtaining one by filing a lawsuit against a casino without a valid license (after detailed legal advice from a qualified lawyer, of course...) will get their money, because at the latest ECJ will accept this "Bill55". This may take time, but everyone who has "fallen for" these companies may realize that if they hadn't played, they wouldn't have to complain now, because if they had played in a legal casino and lost, their money would be irretrievably gone ( !!!).

And: Don’t "gamble online" and if you can’t stop it, then definitely not in a "Maltese casino".

Anyone who ignores the law and ignores court decisions and is "protected by law" from the state if the worst comes to the worst is " particularly trustworthy" - right??? - and in the case of the "big win" transfer it to you quickly, "with thanks" and "Hosanna" on your lips, without you having to sue and/or send the bailiff...

@crusader

Do you happen to know what Leovegas looks like? The company World Sportsbetting Ltd. was liquidated and is said to have been the operator of LeoVegas.

In Austria, LeoVegas is operated by LeoVegasGamingPlc.

What is the connection there?

Everything is very unclear...

No, I can't provide any information about that, and yes: Everything is deliberately very opaque!

But for you and everyone who is interested:

Here is the link to the "MBR", comparable to the "German Register Information"...

https://registry.mbr.mt/ROC/index.jsp#/ROC/companiesReport.do?action=companyDetails&fKey=29f7015c-ca58-45c6-a8fe-a15213465ab6

For every company in Malta you can find all relevant data here such as: "Name, foundation, shareholders, managing directors, registration date (foundation, change, liquidation, insolvency, ...), legally binding address, ...

You have to invest some time, but you learn a lot!

The search function takes forever to load for me? What do you have to enter if you e.g. Mr. Green has to look for? Or N1?
