The base game for Extra Chilli Megaways is played on six reels with an any way wins system. In this system, wins are given for symbols anywhere on each reel so long as they are consecutive and start from the leftmost reel.

The number of symbols on each reel is randomised (between two and six symbols). There is also an Extra Reel that adds symbols to the bottom of reels two to five. As a result, the number of win ways can vary from 324 to 117,649.
