In Extra Chilli, you can pay 50 times the amount spent on normal spin to trigger 8 free spins (although sometimes you can get more of them). Then you can gamble with the number of free spins up to a maximum of 24 spins. However, you risk losing your free spins and not getting to play any of them.
Note: Extra Chilli was not the first BTG game to introduce feature drops, but it became extremely popular almost instantly, by combining the gameplay features of Bonanza with the possibility of triggering the free spins anytime by paying for them.
