Case summary

The player from Minnesota had an issue where a deposit of $3 dollars for a promotional offer hadn't reflected in their account. Despite the promotional email having indicated a minimum deposit of $1 USD to receive 50 free spins, customer support had claimed a higher minimum deposit was required. The player hadn't received the deposit or the free spins. The casino had explained that the discrepancy was due to the volatile nature of cryptocurrency exchange rates. They had offered to issue the disputed bonus of 50 free spins. However, the player had claimed not to have received the spins and had expressed frustration. Despite our efforts to facilitate communication between the player and the casino, the issue had remained unresolved due to the player's lack of response to our inquiries. The complaint was closed as "rejected".

I have an email from 7bit advertising a promo for 50 free spins with a MINIMUM deposit of only $1 USD = .00003 BTC. It clearly stated the REQUIRED amount I had to DEPOSIT to receive 50 free spins was $1 USD = .00003 BTC. Well, I deposited $3 USD = .00007885. I NEVER got my deposit or my 50 free spins! Reached out to support and the extremely unhelpful customer support agent Erik said my deposit got lost because 7bit has a minimum deposit REQUIREMENT of .0001 BTC. Okay, I understand what he is saying... HOWEVER, the EMAIL with the promo that 7bit sent did NOT mention a minimum deposit of .0001 was required. Instead, the email advertising the promo, CLEARLY stated ONLY a minimum of $1 USD = .00003 was REQUIRED! If the casino has a minimum deposit requirement, then ANY deposit promos advertised needs to reflect the casinos minimum deposit or else the promo is FALSE ADVERTISING which is against the law! I just want my $3 & my 50 free spins!

Dear sgouge1010,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your negative experience with 7BitCasino.

I checked the screenshots and it's clear the minimum deposit is specified in BTC currency.

  • Could you please share a screenshot of your transaction history, detailing how the deposit was recorded on the casino's side?
  • Could you please forward the original bonus offer to my email at tomas@casino.guru as well?

I hope we will be able to help you to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

Best regards,

Tomas

The deposit doesn’t even show because they said it got "lost"! How was I to know that would happen? The promo they are advertising said the minimum deposit REQUIRED was .00003BTC = $1USD. It’s lower than what they show on their deposit page. BUT, the promo is exclusively for accounts who is making their FIRST deposit. How they have the promo worded in the email, even the small print… I assumed they lowered the minimum in addition to the 50 free spins specifically to entice people to deposit on their website. Hence why I did!

I apologize for the delayed response. Did you previously deposit in the casino, using Bitcoin or another payment method?

When have you registered in the casino to your knowledge?

I am unsure of what you’re asking me. I didn’t make any deposits with them before. The promotion they had was a "First Deposit Bonus". To receive the 50 free spins a MINIMUM of .000036 is to be deposited. Which is equivalent to $1 USD. I deposited almost TRIPLE the amount. After the Cash App fees a TOTAL of .00009 was too be deposited in my 7Bit account. Again, the promotional email clearly stated only a MINIMUM of .000036 BTC ($1 USD) was REQUIRED to receive the 50 free spins. I deposited .00009 BTC ($3+ USD). When I didn’t receive my 50 free spins. I contacted support. They came back and told me that even though the promo stated only a minimum of .000036 was required. The casino has a deposit requirement of .0001 BTC. If they have this deposit requirement, why would they have a promotion running with a deposit BELOW said amount of .0001. That is FALSE ADVERTISING. This is a mistake they made not mine. They need to honor the promotion. Period. I deposited the amount that was REQUIRED from the PROMOTIONAL EMAIL they sent to me. For me to have to go through all this trouble over $3 and 50 spins is RIDICULOUS and a sure way of losing business.

Dear sgouge1010 and Casino Guru team,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We would like to apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the promotional offer you received, and would like to shed light on the aforementioned case.

The display of minimum deposit values in our promotions is based on automatic currency conversions. Due to 7Bit Casino's internal currency being EUR, all other ones, including cryptocurrencies, are converted at the current exchange rate. As per your transaction, a deposit of 3 USD was equivalent to approximately 0.00007885 BTC at the time of your transaction. However, according to our casino's policy and Bitcoin blockchain, the minimum amount of deposit that can be processed is 0.0001 BTC. This discrepancy is due to the highly volatile nature of cryptocurrency exchange rates, which can vary significantly from traditional currency rates.

To rectify the situation and as a sign of our loyalty, we are willing to issue the disputed bonus (50 free spins) as initially promised in the promotion.

sgouge1010, please check your mailbox for our email, which you will need to reply to in order to receive the bonus.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

7bit Casino team

I did exactly as told, Silvia REFUSED to add the spins. And they still haven’t been added. I am EXTREMELY frustrated and ANGRY. This is RIDICULOUS! Now, I have to wait EVEN longer for 50 spins! This is ridiculous! Dare I ask for an additional 50 spins for this unnecessary inconvenience!
