The ID requirements state that any official government ID can be used like passport or drivers license. They requested a selfie that includes my face and the ID. I first tried the passport but the print through a glare off the paper and it’s unreadable. I then tried my driver’s license. I have taken dozens of selfies and have tried to get others to take my photo using my phone. No matter how many times I have tried the print is too small if I include my face . I don’t understand why they are not able to zoom in to read the print which is very readable at a closer angle. Now they won’t accept my driver’s license and will only allow my passport which is not what there original requirements stated. They have my $300 and I am beginning to think they are making it impossible for me to claim. No other site has required a selfie of my face with the ID. I have sent in my banking information and proof of address. Other sites require a picture of the ID by itself to be uploaded. This is the first time a casino site requires my passport with my face in the picture. I have honestly tried taking dozens of pictures at different angles and it’s impossible. I’m starting to see red flags. What am I able to do about this? Slot City does not appear legit. I just checked a safety review and it scored very low: 3.5/10

I understand the Verification requirements and have done it for about 15 different online casinos. I’ve never had this problem. There have been some difficulty obtaining exactly what some casinos require but I’ve always been able to finally get it. Slot City is asking for a lot more and it isn’t possible to take my picture of my face with the ID and still be able to read it. I think they are purposely trying to do everything they can to keep the money. It’s $300.

Dear lisafumano,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem.

Please understand that KYC is a very important and essential process, during which the casino makes sure that the money is sent to the rightful owner. As they don't have the luxury of being able to physically see all of the players and check their identification and documents, this is the only way gambling establishments are able to complete the verification procedures. None of the serious and licensed casinos takes KYC lightly and it might take a few working days to complete this thorough process.

Do I understand correctly that verifying your selfie seems to be the only obstacle standing between you and successful verification? Has the casino approved the rest of your documents?

I hope we will be able to help you to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Best regards,

Kristina
