A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Hi. I went through all my transactions, identified the ones processed by Xpate, and my bank has already filed chargebacks for them. Now I'm just waiting for the bank's decision.

Hi. I haven't recovered my money from Xpate yet. My chargeback cases are still under review, and I'm hoping for a positive outcome.

Hi. They won't let me withdraw my winnings, so I've had to contact Xpate, the payment processor. Since I couldn't resolve the issue directly, I asked my bank to file a chargeback against the transactions processed by Xpate.

Hi. If your bank has filed the chargeback correctly and your case is backed up with solid evidence, I think your chances of recovering the funds from Xpate are quite good.

Hi. I haven't received any refund from Xpate yet. My chargeback is still under review, and my bank told me the deadline for a response hasn't passed yet.

Hi. Xpate usually isn't shown as the merchant name on the transaction. Instead, you'll see a merchant descriptor, while Xpate is the payment processor behind it. If you can share the descriptors from your statement, I'll let you know if I've come across any of them being linked to Xpate.

Hi. I've seen this happen quite a few times. Xpate sometimes says they can't locate a transaction even when you've provided the card details, date, and amount. If you haven't already, send them the exact merchant descriptor as it appears on your bank statement. That's often the easiest way for them to identify the payment. If they still say they can't find it, keep all of your correspondence with Xpate and contact your bank as well. Those emails may be useful later if you need to file a chargeback or if you already have one in progress.

If you do receive the withdrawal, please let us know here. If you don't receive it within the next few days, I would recommend starting a chargeback with your bank rather than waiting indefinitely. The sooner you begin the process, the better, as chargeback time limits apply.

Hi. Is there any update on your refund from Xpate? Has your bank completed the process yet, or is the chargeback still within the timeframes?

Hi. If they're ignoring you, I'd recommend filing a chargeback with your bank as soon as possible. There are time limits for raising a dispute, and if you miss them, the funds are likely to remain with the merchant. Based on my experience, I wouldn't rely on Xpate to refund you after those deadlines have passed.

Hi. There's not much you can do at this point except wait for the bank's decision. Hopefully you'll get a positive outcome. Let us know how it goes when you receive an update.

Just a general question to anyone who has gone directly to a merchant and received a refund. How long do they take and do you get any response first?

Do you know who they are and have you contacted them directly? Run their T&C through chatgpt.com and query it. It'll pull together narrative for you for a refund. Apologies if already done that.
