Have you actually had a refund from zpdg?

Have anyone had an unsuccesful chargeback with your bank, after getting through the initial step?

What I mean is if someone has experienced that the merchant disputes the claim, and that the bank sides with the merchant.

Can someone send a link to VISAs regulations where it states that using the wrong merchant code is a valid reason for chargeback?

I don't have a direct source at hand, but you could check the VISA official website for their chargeback policy. Usually, the Merchant Card Code (MCC) is taken into account in chargebacks if it was used abusively or incorrectly. There may also be information about this in VISA's general terms of use. Alternatively, you can contact VISA support directly to get an accurate answer.

Hi all,

I'm having a real hard battle still with chase bank regarding piexeum and finnart.io. they have taken it down the scam/fraud route for now and said it would take upto 35 business days. Its been 15 days and they won't give me any information other than they are trying to sort this out with the merchant.

If this fails I'll put in a complaint as they are crypto related and should have been blocked and also used the wrong MCC.

As for the visa terms someone earlier said they got a chargeback for 12.7 invalid data so look into that.

I will make this as simple as possible for you here.

If you have an account at CasinoXXX.com and pay with a credit/debit card at this place but the values come off your statement as "MrAdubuwungoBookSeller" from Nigeria then under the T&C's of both Mastercard and Visa the payment can only be related to a product sold by the book seller - not the casino. You aren't likely to receive any books are you? Therefore if the merchant appearing on the statement cannot provide receipts/ proof of purchases then the transaction can be fully charged back. CasinoXXX.com cannot dispute the claim as that would give up the ghost - that in fact the transactions are related to gambling at an illegal website - gambling has a specific MCC code so the transaction is invalid/fraud.

The above is the crux of things. The casino cannot actually dispute anything.

That’s my understanding too, if they use an incorrect code to bypass a law then how or why would they ever be able to contest it. It would mean admitting fraud.

Visa 12.7 is the code that my credit card company used and they went that route rather than goods not received.

If you have a gambling block set up or credit card use where the law states you cannot use one for gambling in UK 12.7 visa code shouldn’t be any issue as if the correct code was used it would have been blocked.

Thank you, I am aware of that. But I have had chargebacks where the merchant disputes it - where I have won. I have no idea how they tried to dispute it. So I am just a bit curious if there are any cases, where the merchant has actually won in a chargeback dispute (where the situation is exactly as you describe, that they are just a shell company for casino payments).

No idea to be honest. If they have managed to win then rules haven't been followed by said bank/financial institution.

This isn't even my understanding of it - it is confirmed as law in the UK by lawyers who deal in that sector. There is case law around it as well somewhere.

I know we have discussed before about Chase and mine was a low amount, but as soon as I complained they then decided to authorise the chargeback.

Pixeleum was also one of mine that was originally refunded a while back, via the fraud/scam route. That went through no bother but two after that needed me to complain and then they messaged saying what will resolve it, I said chargeback and they did it there and then. Not sure if value is a factor as it was only £40 on each one.

Was this with credit card?

How did you lodge the chargeback? Online form or phone? Did you use the template previous users have posted with all your evidence to begin with?

Hi mate,

no it was with debit card and I used the template and evidence all I keep getting is because it’s a online casino it will be tricky but no1 is listening to me I suffer with a stammer so I struggle on The phone at the best of times so I don’t know if they understand what I am trying to say to them or if they are assuming what I am trying to say to them but I have started the complaints to see what happens there
