One threat won't do much, but they add up over time, plus these aren't regulated or licensed casinos we're talking about, you yourself described them as criminal, so i doubt revolut would want to be affiliated with these kinds of business. Which is why i'd recommend everyone who's fell ill of these illegitimate business' to charge a claimback and if that doesn't work escalate it to an ombudsman.

I'm not too up to speed on it all but from my understanding is that transactions are defined by different codes, like a transaction to a clothes shop is coded as something different to a cinema, and that it's transaction fraud to label one thing as another in the transaction in terms of the service offered/received

Only way to really get a chargeback and the merchant not defend themself. Are you able to retrieve deposit timestamps to the gambling company on the company's website ? was the difference for me

I was suggest neither you have to go down the goods and services not received route say some payments didnt reach either party but you have to have history of some of your deposit time stamps.

What if you paid via debit card and the payments show as credit card on the website?

Report it as a scam, that's what I'm in the middle of doing. Ask your bank to instigate money laundering investigations.

Surely the banks can't ignore these accusations.

it doesn't matter so first step have you got time stamps of the deposit with the deposit to the casino on casinos website of the date and time ? Thats key you will then have the exact same time stamp on your bank transaction log. Need confirmation from the merchant admitting you bought ... which is a lie. Will give you a couple avenues you can go down.

I've got the timestamps, they're the same times, the amounts are different though by a few pence, or a couple pounds in some cases, got the bank transaction logs too, merchant that shows up has a few variants of it from what i've seen on this thread

Its about concretely connecting the merchant to the gambling company you will then review the T&CS of both companies because what ive come to understand is forget about the gambling company your issue is with merchant a chargeback is directed to the merchant and their receiving bank.

how many transactions do you have and after how many transactions did it swap to a different merchant ?

It was the same merchant for me, but i've seen people note different Nikotpf merchants on this thread, three i can remember, i also can't connect the merchant to the company, it's nikotpf where as the casino is goldenbet and their parent company is santeda international bv, there's no mention of either on the transaction on my statement. in regards to contacting the merchant directly there is no information, only a support email for the casino and an on site chat bot. No registered address that i can find or phone number.

Nikotpf Web Active Lim and there's no website for them as far as i can see, i've googled them and nothing, same for Santeda International B.V. first result for Santeda is a PDF about sanctions from the australian government regarding using multiple URLs to circumnavigate the block they had on goldenbet from operating there, as they're prohibited from doing business there, any other results are casino affiliate websites promoting the websites they have, all of which have pending or "on hold" licenses. (there are five total casinos affiliated with this company)

Those of you that gambled with MyStake, it looks like they don't even have a Curacao gambling licence anymore.

They've updated their site to show 'Application Pending'.

Do we have any grounds for appeal as a result of this?

MyStake is one of the Santeda International B.V. casinos, along with goldenbet, what was the merchant code used when you deposited with them? or anyone else?

Gojira7346

Grounds for a chargeback for you is virtually impossible if there is no website specifically for the merchant then if I'm completely honest sorry

I had a feeling as much, but if my bank initiates one and they can't contact the merchant as there's no contact then doesn't that mean they can't dispute it? Plus if there's no website specifically for the merchant, or one that links them to the casino then can't i say that the merchant didn't provide the services? as there's no link between them and the casino?

Only way to win now is say you purchased valuables and havent received it. Thats if you aint said nothing about gambling to your bank then you have a very good chance only if you had a conversation with your bank about it being gambling transactions. You have to have a valid reason for your bank to issue the chargeback In the 1st place

Elijahanth

I've stated that it's a gambling transaction, and they have opened a claim and escalated it to a specialist team (their words) as i've gone into detail, described the situation and provided evidence to support it as such, so they're investigating it at least, i'm sure if they tried to contact the merchant they wouldn't be able to provide evidence to counter what i've posted and that's IF they can contact the merchant.
