Think the lesson I've learned here is not to report as 'Authorised Fraud', just go down the 'Scam' route straight away.

I've now got three credit cards performing an investigation. Fingers crossed it all comes back positive, quoting Visa Condition 12.7 Invalid Data seems to help as well.

Is there a comparable point for Mastercard payments?

Merchant category codes (MCC) i believe would be the comparable point

I was that smart too 😉

However, Visa describes the problem in more detail.

I'd assume it's because of how it is reported, or based on what casino they've used, anything under the Santeda international BV umbrella is definitely shady, some of them don't have registered phone numbers and the addresses come up as malls in curacao and other such weird locations, one showed up as a lighthouse in Larnica, Cyprus. Whereas other casinos or groups do have legitimate offices etc, and actually have licenses.

Could use the MCC claim then reference the detail VISA use to describe the issue in more detail, i'm sure they cover the same violations but just have a more detailed description of it

I wouldn't know where to look but if we could get Mastercard terms on it also. We would all definitely stand a better chance 🙂

Does anyone know if you can initiate a chargeback against merchants that deal in Crypto, nfts etc?

I'l take a look a little later on, i'll try and cross reference both visa and mastercard terms aswell

Goriwire Sp.Z.O.O = https://www.quickbit.com/

Depends on a whole lot of variables, did you receive the crypto, nfts etc? Where is the company based, crypto and that kind of stuff is heavily unregulated as a whole and there's not a whole lot of legal framework in general regarding how it operates anyway, so may be tricky even in best case scenarios...

Interesting, thanks. As a for instance...all mobilumpay/fatamp are coded as Quasicash, didn't even realise I was buying crypto

What were you hoping to receive?

I've heard revolut is pretty crappy with disputes like this, what did the casino itself say and which one was it? I think it's a fairly uncommon problem and the banks are unsure what to do? It should be pretty clean cut in my opinion, if someones operating illegally but advertising themselves as a legal outfit the refunds should be issued, it'd stop them from operating in the way they do, and it'd protect vulnerable people with gambling issues

Sorry, my fault, it's all casino related!

Merchant miscoding issue i'd say, i've read a bit back through this thread, try searching what casino you used on this forum and casinomeister, you may find more information regarding the merchant transactions and what they've violated

what casino is it? i'd try and kick up more fuss with revolut and keep onto them, eventually it'll be more hassle to keep saying they can't do anything than it would be for them to fully investigate. I think the curacao gambling commission and that whole thing needs to be investigated and sanctioned externally anyway, even from scratching the surface that whole commission is a shitshow

Revolut processes payments for online casinos itself as Revolutpay.

In some cases they also accept credit card payments 😉

You can threaten them with anything under the sun, but they won't care who or what you threaten them with.

If Revolut gives in, many casinos will distance themselves from Revolut, which means a loss of revenue that they will not accept.

Yeah definite mis coding. My bank told me they can't initiate a charge back as its a 'cash transaction to another financial account'.
