Case summary

The player from Sweden encountered issues withdrawing winnings after being asked for additional documents post-verification. The casino refused to pay out, citing a self-exclusion from a sister casino, despite no prior indication that this would affect the winnings. The Complaints Team confirmed that the casino was allowed to act this way under MGA regulations, but recommended that the player submit separate complaints for each casino involved. The current complaint was closed as without further evidence we couldn't act against this particular casino.

Recently opened an account, had some winnings and was asked to verify. Did so, when I then try to make a withdrawal they ask me to complete with additional documents. To later write to me and explain that they refuse to pay out when I requested a self-exclusion from a sister casino (rise of bets). Started my chalkwins account after the self-exclusion, and nowhere in the terms associated with it did it state that I would be stripped of my winnings for that reason. Why even allow me to open in such cases, and allow me to play for so long. Read a bit on other forums, and strangely enough this company has an MGA license, otherwise have always tried to avoid all casinos that lack an MGA license. If this isn't a scam, I don't know. Stay far away from this casino.

Dear Biggan81,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your negative experience with Chalkwins Casino.

Please allow me to ask you a few questions, so I can better understand the situation.

  • Could you please advise the reason for the self-exclusion in Rise of Bets Casino?
  • Would you be able to share your original request with me?
  • Alternatively could you please share the confirmation from Rise of Bets Casino regarding the extent of your self-exclusion?
  • Did Chalkwins Casino return your lifetime deposits as a result of its decision not to pay you your winnings?
  • My email is tomas@casino.guru

I hope we will be able to help you to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

Best regards,

Tomas

Hi Tomas! Unfortunatly i havent saved the mail I sent to Riseofbets asking them to close my account. They confirmed they Will return approx 100euro, ive been playing there for a couple of days only. Can they really do this, Ive contacted Mga as Well, ive always believed MGA licensed sites can be trusted, unlike other sketchy licenses. They confiscated 2400euro...

They lie, they write "After reviewing your account, we have identified that you previously requested a permanent self-exclusion from all L.C.S. Limited brands due to gambling concerns on our sister brand, Rise of Bets, on 21/06/2024." Ive never ask them to exclude me from all brands, ive never before today even heard about LCS,

Can mention that I have reported them to MGA, im shocked that sites is allowed to act like this, especially operating under a MGA licens. They allow you to open, they allow you to deposit, they allow you to lose. But as fast as you try to withdraw they confiscate and refer to earlier closing a sistercasino, nowhere when closing nor opening with "sistercasinos" is this mentioned. Absolutly amazing. Saw that a player from Netherlands filed an Complaint, the player lost 3000e and demanded his losses back, due to earlier closing an account with sites connected to LSC limited, the player didnt receive any help or money back… Read "trustpilot", similar cases there with mentioned sites, urge everyone to file an complaint with MGA directly as well

If they have the right to confiscate winnings if a player selfexcluded from a sistercasino, then players should have the right to get their losses back. Ive had accounts and never withdraw only losses at following sistercasinos, Betstro,Wallacebet,Betsamigo,Bonusbet,Slotshammer,Betnflix, Svenplay, all of them operating under the LCS limited brand, due to GDPR they are obliged to save all my data, ive asked them to provide me with all data, losses etc that ive had on all "sistercasinos". They allowed me to open at each on, despite selfexcluding…never had issues as long as I was losing..

Casinos operating under MGA can do this since they have to protect you from further gambling, provided you informed them about a gambling problem. What we would expect is the casino to return your deposits due to self-exclusion in a casino under the same license. Without any evidence of the contrary, we can't compel the casino to act in any other way.

Could you please confirm the casino returned all your deposits made to the casino?

I'll await your reply.

Hi, thank you for the respons. Yes they have, they are investigating if they will return my deposits/losses on other casinos operating under the same brand LCS limited, ive been playing on several casinos under the same brand, if im not allowed to win, I shouldnt be allowed to lose either. I can update, when I receive final answer from them.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Please note in our complaint resolution center, each complaint can be attributed to only one casino. I would recommend you submit a new complaint for each of the casinos that ought to return your deposits.

The current complaint will be closed, as the casino's role in the complaint is complete. If there is anything unusual about the casinos returning your funds. Please let us know, and we'll try our best to assist. My email is tomas@casino.guru
