The player from Morocco had registered for an account on Betfair and had submitted verification documents. However, his account had been closed on 'business grounds' before he could make his first deposit. The player had never held an account with this platform before and had sought assistance to recover the account. We had informed the player that we couldn't compel the casino to reactivate his account and since there were no funds being held, our capacity to assist had been limited. Therefore, the complaint had been rejected.

in 8 November 2023 I created an account at betfair and I submitted all the information that they need / ID card / Bank statement / selfie holding ID and I was waiting for verification to activate my account to make my first deposit to start betting on Betfair. And today 18 Nov 2023 I contact the support to let me know that my account is still under review and submit selfie if the first one was not clearly visible but he surprised me and he tell me that my account is closed due to business grounds as you can see in the uploaded attachment. I never had an account in betfair this is my first time at this platform and I never seen a betting website that closed permanently a new account in verification request so please help me to get my account back.

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem. Please understand, that we can’t penalize the casino for closing your account. Casinos, in general, have a right to restrict or even close players’ accounts if they suspect irregular play or other questionable activities or for no reason at all. 

  • Could you please advise if there are any funds being held by the casino?

If the casino paid out all the winnings, or if you haven't deposited any money at all, and no funds are being held, I’m afraid, there’s not much we can do for you.

Please let me know if there is any additional information that I have overlooked, but I’m afraid I will be forced to reject your complaint as unjustified. I wish I could be of more help.

No there no fund in Betfair. I just created the account and waiting for verification process to make my account active then I will make my first deposit but they closed my account due to business grounds that is not fair to close new account permanently in verification process.

I sincerely apologize, but we cannot compel the casino to reactivate your account if they have chosen not to accept you as a new player. As there are no funds being held, our capacity to assist is unfortunately limited.
