The player from Netherlands has been accused of breaching bonus T&Cs by placing a single bet greater than €5. After a closer examination, we ended up rejecting this complaint as unjustified.

i played with €70 real money and €70 double deposit bonus. Everything was already wagered.


I won €5800 on BetAmo. They wrote an email asked for proof first to payout. After that i send proof. I got an email stating that I exceeded the €5 bet and that the whole amount is confiscated. I got nothing on my bank and the whole amount was gone from my account.


they stated nowhere that there is a max of €5 per bet. And if so why they don’t block it directly so players with an bonus active cant bet more then €5. This is just an way for them to dont have to pay out larger amounts.


i never had this problem before in my life with other casino’s.


I wanted to try out an other casino for an time. But it is the worst decision of my life.


STAY AWAY FROM THIS CASINO!!!!!!

Thank you very much submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem. I have checked bonus terms and conditions, and this is what I found https://www.betamo.com/promotions:

"The maximum bet with an active bonus is 5 EUR / 5 USD / 50 NOK / 6.5 CAD / 6.5 NZD / 20 PLN (Unless stated otherwise in special terms for the bonus). Purchasing any game features (including but not limited to ’respin’) will add to your bet amount. If the player exceeds the maximum bet when the bonus is active, Betamo reserves the right to confiscate the winnings."

We would like to see casinos implementing systems that would prevent players from placing higher than allowed bets, but, unfortunately, this is not a standard practice yet. You were not stopped or blocked when you decided to increase your bet, and, as a result, you breached the maximum bet rule.

If you are aware of placing higher bets then the allowed ones, sadly, there is not much we can do to support your case at this time. I would strongly recommend reading all the T&Cs carefully before you start playing to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. Casinos try to design their bonuses to be as attractive as possible, but the rules must always be followed.

Please let me know if there is any additional information that I have overlooked, but I’m afraid I will be forced to reject your complaint. Thank you in advance for your reply and understanding.

Hi,


The problem was that I wasn’t aware of this. If I knew this i would never bet more the. €5


But yes i already thought this money is lost after I received that email from them. I only hope they will find a way to let more people know this.


And not only take the winnings when you have won. But also give all the cash back for the bets with over €5 that are lost. Because they say that that bet is not valid then they don’t need to only apply that rule when people have won. This makes it not honest for me.

There’s an important principle that says, "ignorance of the law is no excuse". It means that you can’t defend your actions by arguing you didn’t know they were illegal or forbidden, even if you honestly did not realize you were breaking the rules. Please, understand that breaching terms led to confiscating the bonus winnings and it is an irreversible process.
