The player from the Netherlands, who was registered with CRUKS for gambling addiction, had managed to open an account with Jungliwin and lost around 30,000 EUR through extensive gambling. Despite multiple requests to close his account, the casino had offered him bonuses to continue playing. The player had accused the casino of exploiting his addiction and operating illegally in the Netherlands. We had advised the player to seek legal help or contact licensing authorities as the casino had not violated any terms on their end. However, the player did not respond to our subsequent messages, leading us to reject the complaint.

Can you please help me on this situation i am already for more then one year permanently excluded from gambling and even registered by CRUKS, because i am a huge addict and am totally out of control with my gambling awareness.

So from the following text i saw the advertation of Jungliwin popping up and addicted as i am i directly registered a account, and without any verification of documents i could start playing and proceed with depositing. In the begin i was even winning some so after a few withdrawals they finally asked for some documents.


But you know how it will workout when you are addicted like me you just cant stop playing, so when my luck finally turned around and made some big deposits i had a Whatsapp from Frank that he is my personal VIP manager. So after a few conversations i friendly asked him more then once to close my account permanently, but he said here maybe you can turn youre luck around and offered me some nice deposit bonusses and free bets to get and keep me going.


So after a while i ended up with a total loss of -/+ 30.000,- EUR and contacted my VIP manager Frank once again, and explained him the whole situation and all he did was close my account and told me that he would forward it to the relevant departement.


And from there on i never heard anything back aswell from the departement as Frank, even when i was asking for it by Whatsapp as he is my personal manager. But how is it possible to communicate when you get completely ignored, but when i was on a losing streak he was available all the time?


Since Jungliwin has no legal license in the Netherlands they are not allowed to offer any kind of gambling activities as they should even be restricted from our country to make any sucesfull register.


In my opinion they are completely aware of this situation, as you cant suspect any responsibilty from a addicted gambler thats in therapy and also registered at CRUKS.

Could you please advise when was the first time you ever mention gambling addiction to the casino? How long after that was your account closed? Since when is your Jungliwin account verified?

Please note that as the casino has Curacao license, unless you directly requested a self-exclusion from them, they are not responsible for any of your loss no matter where else are you registered for gambling addiciton.

Hello Nick,


I did not have any time to mention my gambling problems because i deposited and lost €30.000,- in two days, i think that says quite enough right?


They are completely aware of attracting gambling addicts because when you start depositing alot they directly contact you by whatsapp or mail so they monitor it all very well and exactly know their customers gambling behaviour.


Even when i asked them like 5/6 times to close my account permanently, they tell you: hello my friend, what if i offer you another free bet or amazing deposit bonus i'm sure this time angel luck will be on youre shoulder. So instead of helping and protecting their customers they encourage them to keep playing and even deposit more and more.


And with a Curaçao license they still are not allowed to operate in the Netherlands, as a official license here costs +/- €200.000,-. So in this case its quite unfair for the casinos that actually have a license and follow up the rules predicted by law.


You cant suspect from a gambling addict to take any responsibilty for their gambling behaviour thats just were CRUKS is finally made for, because an addict like me just simply cant take control over it.

Since CRUKS is only active by legit registered casinos it does not have effect on a illegal casino like Jungliwin indeed.


So i suggest Jungliwin to just face the facts and take all responsibilty for it as i could even directly start depositing without any registered documents? They started asking for a KYC after 3 withdrawals while this is a standard procedure by new registered players right.


If they will not come clear and offer a refund for their actions, i will not stop and will proceed with a lawyer like Roelof Bijkerk till i will get my justice.

Dear nielsroovers92,

Unfortunately, unless you did inform them regarding your addiction, they could not know about it. Also if the casino does not restrict a country within their terms, the player is free to register there and it is his responsibility to be aware of his own country's law. If you did know that the casino is illegal, you should not have registered there or at least can't expect that they will just refund you anything if you did not mention addiction to them.

If you want to try to get a refund, I would try to turn to licensing authorities or legal help as they might be able to pursue this case but from our point of view, the casino did nothing wrong.

Bijkerk represents several gambling-addicted Dutch individuals in cases against online casinos with a sublicense from GSP, including LalaBet/Jungliwin and Justbit. These casinos are known for anonymous gambling without verification, targeting Dutch players, despite the absence of a Dutch gambling license. 

According to Bijkerk, the Dutch gambler's bankruptcy application against GSP could put a stop to fraudulent parties like GSP and prevent further exploitation of addicted players

In November 2023, Mario Galea, former CEO of the Malta Gaming Authority and currently advisor to Silvania, announced that online casinos licensed in Curaçao may not focus on the Netherlands and the United States. If the gambling sites do this, the license will be revoked

I would recommend to contact the licensing authorities or search a legal advise. Unfortunately, this is not our jurisdiction to deal with as unless the casino restrict a player from a country within their terms, the player is free to register there.

Also if you are from a country with specific laws for gambling, you should be responsible for registering only in casinos with license and not registering into random casinos then requesting any kind of compensation.
