Hi, honestly you have been so helpful with regards to this, I cannot thank you enough for the time you have spent looking into this for me. Unfortunately I made these bank transfers before this date. I am absolutely gutted. I have had such a bad day. I had 2 responses from casinos stating the cannot refund me at all. My bank have taken some of my charge backs to pre arbitration now but deemed me liable for the rest although the evidence was exactly the same on the ones they have taken to pre arb. I reported Santeda with my bank with bank transfers to them, the told me that it is a civil dispute. Just had one thing after the other. No luck at all. Although I was closed out of my account for no reason. Just completely drained with it all. Depositing into these casinos has ruined my life. I know it was my fault but I was in such a bad place at the time. It's hard for anyone to understand who hasn't been through it isn't it. Thank you for your help. It's been very much appreciated.
I truly understand what you’re going through; I'm in a similar situation myself right now. I have an appointment with a solicitor because my case has become quite complex. I’m currently involved in court proceedings against a third-party payment processor, as it's crucial that they are held accountable and ensure they're dealing with legitimate businesses. I've even involved the Ombudsman regarding my bank, which has taken up so much of my energy over the past three months.
It sounds like you've tried everything possible, and seeking legal advice could feel like a big risk after everything you’ve already lost. I really hope you find the peace of mind you deserve and can eventually move on from this experience. It’s important to remember that your well-being matters most. You’ve got this, and I believe you’ll see your money returned in due time—those who wrong us often face their consequences.
Stay strong, and if you ever feel overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out for support. We all need a helping hand now and then. I’m wishing you all the best—take care of yourself. ☺️
Waiting for the ombudsman in regards to Santeda/Goldenbet, even sent goldenbet support the Curacao licensing stuff but they've basically said that's an issue with the third party, if you could, please report them to the UK gambling commission, i've asked a few people on here to now, one complaint might alert them, multiple in a short space of time might make them investigate properly.
You're welcome! I completely understand how tough this situation must be for you. It's important to know when to step back, and it sounds like you've really tried everything you could. Maybe getting a solicitor would be an option, but that might not be worth it for the amount involved. Just remember, you’ll get your money back eventually, and those who take advantage of others will get their comeuppance. Try to relax and think of this as one of life’s lessons—we're all human, after all. Take care of yourself, and it might be a good idea to steer clear of gambling for now. Stay strong, and sending you lots of good vibes! 🙏
Thank you so much. I do think it's time to give up now. I am not very clued on where to report etc. and it's been draining me the past few days. I know now in about 2 years time I will be debt free & I honestly cannot wait. Thankfully I stopped before it got even worse. I am a single mum to 2 children & times have been so hard. No one knows about my previous issues. It's weird how it even got to this. Never gambled at all in my life until a few years ago. Wasn't in the best head space at the time so maybe that was the reason for it. Now I am going to concentrate on counting down the days till I'm debt free. Thank you so so much. Wish you all the luck too. You really have been so kind x
Hi Lou Lou - if you don’t mind me asking what did you bank say to you about pre arbitration? I am just about to go in to the same situation and I was wondering what to expect ?
hey, they haven't said much. Just basically sent me the response from the merchant which I disputed again then received letters on my bank app to say the have taken it to pre arbitration. I had this a while ago with another merchant. They completely lied & said I purchased game skins or some sort of gaming stuff from them. Funnily enough the claimed I purchased the same thing about 10 times! That went to pre arbitration but I lost that. So no idea what will happen with this one. Obviously your merchant disputed too? Was your chargeback reason good or services not received? X
Iv had exactly the same as you with velobet & cosmo bet. Exactly the same response. They just blame the payment provider for the incorrect code. Yes I am happy to do this as I have deposited in alot of these casinos. Iv never withdrawn. Just deposited. Has the uk gambling commission come back to you?
They know exactly what they're doing but trying to play stupid, worst of the worst. I've got a reply, takes 20/30 days, they ask for some information then forward it to their "sector specialists", i did try withdrawing from them myself but only option for me was via SEPA, which didn't work with two banks.
Ye they gave me the temporary refund and then on the 28th day took it back - then I spoke to them today and they said they would take it to pre arbitration - said that they would raise it today and then I needed to wait another 30 days to see the outcome ! They had originally raised it as goods and services not received - but I also mentioned today about incorrect mcc codes ! It’s so crazy because from the information I see online the merchant rarely wins pre arbitration so I’m sorry to hear to you didn’t - honestly I don’t really hold out much hope on my side either - but we’ll see - I think the next step after that is the ombudsman
Hello.
Can you tell me if curacao egaming is still operational or if the changes to curacao have taken their toll?

Ola.
Sabem me dizer se a curacao egaming ainda esta operacional ou se fom as alteracoes em curacao deixaram de assumir o seu papel?

Honestly I was looking up alot online & saw exactly the same thing that the merchants very rarely win the pre arbitration & I was so upset when I didn't. It was for £1600 too & they said I purchased £1600 worth of gaming stuff over a period of a few days. I was devastated that I lost that & I clearly didn't do enough research into the casino because they held no license at all. I did take that to the ombudsman & I lost it there too. The frustration for me is I have stopped gambling now, I realised how you will always loose but I was trying to get back some money that was illegally accepted just to pay back debts but today just basically sumed it up for me. I have a few disputes now I'm pre arbitration but once that's done, I'm leaving it there. I have hit a brick wall now & feel totally deflated by it. I really hope you have some good news with yours. I will keep you updated with mine & let me know how you get on x
Yes well hopefully you will get something back from the ones you have open - I’ll defo let you know how I get on ! X
Oh they definitely are. I will put a report into the gambling commission too & honestly if it stops this from happening to someone else then thats all I can ask for now. I won't ever see my money again but the affect gambling has on your mental health is horrendous. I would love to see them stopped. I have had gambling blocks on my account for over 2 years but they are not silly & bypass these blocks easy. I honestly receive about 8 text messages a day from random casinos. I am trying to focus now on other things to take my mind off of this but it's so hard. I feel ashamed of myself, feel like iv let everyone around me down even though I have kept this a secret & suffered in silence for years but although they don't know, I do & it eats me up every day. I just want to fast forward now to a couple of years & be out of this hole. The biggest one I have is payop & that would clear my debt but there's no chance there. I hope none of us return to this x
In a similar position, accepted my money is gone, if i get it back from FOS then great, but main focus is stopping it happening to someone else. Really does affect your mental health, the stress is horrendous. There needs to be stricter laws on advertising gambling too, my emails are sickening, get texts too... Try not to beat yourself up over it, it's a thing we've all struggled with here and hopefully this is the last time we all go through any gambling problems. I'd honestly get into the mindset it's gone but try and prep a solid case for the FOS and hope for the best, think it's just down to the discretion of the assigned agent for the most part from what i've read. Hopefully this is the last time any of us gamble.
