Oh,... I'm so sorry to see it ended like this!
I perfectly agree it is your choice not to complain. Since the process is free of charge, the only investment is your time, so if you change your mind, there is no risk. The worst that can happen is that the compliant won't be accepted. I personally am having a hard time letting something like this happen without investigation. Well, that's my problem, not yours.
