Lately I have noticed that there seems to be fewer casinos that opens up today. I live in sweden, and I have recieved a lot of emails how many casinos can't provide their service in sweden anymore because of regulations.

I am struggling with gambling addiction, so for me this is very positive!

Have anyone experienced the same? Have the industry started to slow down?

I know it's a billion cash machine, but eventually the amount of casinos that exist today must reach its peak someday.

I'm convinced it's all related to restrictions. It was different back in a day. Let's say in 2015, it was enough to have a license in Malta and you could simply provide your casino services in most countries. Then the wave of regulations have started. Many countries strive to have their own regulations. It's not easy for casinos to follow all the different regulations given by different countries. Especially for smaller casinos that don't have huge Law departments. So they simply gave up on certain markets and focus on fewer markets instead.

Since you mentioned the gambling addiction, I'd like to direct you to our responsible gambling section. You may find some useful info over there 🙂
