Hi guys,

Surely this cannot be legal/in line with MGA guidelines. The aspire group is charging between 2% and 4% fee per bet?

see the screengrab....file

I'd like to know what this "Section 4" says. Would you paste this part here as well, please?

Cannot see the term they are referring to.

There is this - https://igamingbusiness.com/gaming/online-casino/aspire-launches-buywin-feature-in-germany-to-lower-tax-burden/

Only applicable to german players, im in ireland, no such tax issues.

This is surely against MGA terms.

They told me on chat they had rolled it out to all countries!

That is interesting. Did the chat operator provide a further explanation?

Do you intend to contact the MGA by any means?

This is what I got -

‘Please kindly note that last week Luckythrillz launched a new and exciting feature called "BuyWin" for customers.

Players who play on BuyWin games will have access to exclusive promotions which will run daily, weekly, and monthly. Therefore, the BuyWin fee can also be seen as an entry fee to these promotions, where you will be in with the chance to win much more when you pay the BuyWin fees.

Important to note that not all games will have BuyWin – and you can choose to play non-BuyWin games.

The BuyWin feature is a fee charged on certain games where there is a relatively higher RTP. Every BuyWin fee is deducted, along with the amount of the bet, from your playing account.

The BuyWin fee will be displayed immediately when opening any BuyWin game. You will be asked to click "OK" to accept the BuyWin Fee before continuing to play.’ -

Ive lodged a complaint with MGA.

They are just taxing players illegally on games that are ‘too higher RTP’ 😳

In this case, we should wait for the MGA - Ecogra to respond.

Casinoguru coming up trumps again 👍

I can't help myself, but it sounds like the fee German players are supposed to pay per each spin. This means German law is reducing the winnings spin by spin, "awarding" German players for playing in DE-licensed casinos. I must say I'm not familiar with the local laws or restrictions in Ireland. Is there anything similar maybe? Honestly, I don't think so. 😕

Casino support said this buywin "feature" (=TAX!) is automatically subtracted from balance every time a bet is placed. They also say that the feature adds more winnings but couldn't answer how. It certainly doesn't add anything to the slots normal paytable winnings.

Also the tax is rounded to the next ($£€) 0.01 so if you are playing with a 1 cent stake, you are paying 2 cents for every bet, effectively making most really small bet size slots RTP really low. How does < 50% RTP sound? Can't be legal!

This is now forced on non german players too

As instercoin has said it is being forced on all non German players as well. So they are trying it with every other country. It has nothing to do with tax of which there is none in Ireland.

I submitted a complaint to the MGA and they told me to submit a complaint to the ADR the pogg which is useless as they have no power to enforce MGA regulation and EU law.

The aspire group is just being allowed to commit theft as the mga (as usual) has no interest.

Yeah, theft sounds like an appropriate term. BuyWin suggests one is paying a fee to get something in return, when in reality you are just paying more without getting anything. Also support saying it adds more winnings is just lying.

I’m sure it can’t be legal. Mga just does seem bothered.

Generally speaking, all those extra features in games only lower the standard RTP so better don't fall for this. When it comes to German players, then you probably know casinos need to pay 5% from every spin. Obviously, the casinos won't pay it. The players will.

It's possible that the casino couldn't apply it to German players only so they simply applied to all of their games and players, no matter where they come from. Apparently, many players will notice they lose more and they'll eventually leave the casino. That's just a matter of time.

Should this not be listed as a warning on all aspire casinos now?

This is theft. Plain and simple.

You currently have aspire casinos (lucky thrillz) rated 9 with a perfect reputation 😳

Well, no complaint was submitted to support your experience. We do not change warnings based solely on the posts posted here on the forum or experiences shared through user reviews. First, we investigate.

Submit the complaint, or inform our data team, please.

Are you blind?

look at other peoples experiences above, read the chat agents responses, look at aspires terms!

perhaps if casinoguru pulled their finger out instead of instagramming all your trips (funded by players losses) and stayed on top of reviews and warnings for players many players would not lose out due to bad casinos.

You’re here for the players after all (like anyone buys that)

So what's the matter? Why those harsh feelings? 🙂

Submit the complaint. It works as I described. Do you want to complain? Cool, make it official. I provided you with the options. Is it so hard to write an email at least?

Again: Our rating is not based on user reviews for obvious reasons. Kindly read my previous post again, then pull yourself wherever you wish.

By the way, our team buildings are not funded by players lost - that's crap.

We are here for players, but it all requires some rules to be followed.

How is your company funded then?

You are affiliates correct?

Your complaint system is ‘crap’
