The player's requesting a refund of his deposits as he was not supposed to be able to register in the casino. The complaint was closed as the player was recommended to contact the licensing authorities.
I am in the UK and am on Gamstop. Stupidly I opened an account at Betbeard as they accepted UK players. I was able to deposit through my credit cards and managed to max out both of them in a short period. However, Betbeard should actually not have allowed me to open an account there as it specifically states on their licence that they are not allowed to provide services to the UK. Yet they openly accept UK players and their affiliates recommend them as a non-Gamstop casino. Also, they use a voucher system for deposits. You basically get redirected to Kinguin and pay them to deposit on Betbeard and they take fees. On here and on any other reputable sites its clear they are not supposed to accept UK players. In fact, both sister sites explicitly block UK players from opening an account I spoke to the UKGC about this as well and they confirmed that offering these services is in fact illegal. Before I go to the authorities I had tried to reason with Betbeard and have sent at least 7 emails to them. Nearly 4 weeks on and I have yet to have one single response from Betbeard which is shocking. This company are operating illegally and luring in people like me with Gambling issues in the UK with offers and affiliate links. I have asked for a return of Deposits made to resolve the issue before I start proceedings with my credit card company. Note again, their licence clearly states no UK Services!!! They also allowed 3 different accounts to be created with the same details!
Hello ayrshirecsc,
Thank you very much for submitting your complaint and I'm really sorry to hear about your issue with Bet Beard Casino. Please allow me to ask you a few more question before we would move forward.
Could you please advise what is your remaining balance on your casino account? Did you request for self exclusion directly from this casino? Can you please clarify why do you have 3 accounts and if any of them were verified already?
Looking forward to your answer.
Regards,
Nick
See licence above.
There isn't any balance on any of the casino accounts. This company are not allowed to engage with UK players and the licence confirms this. They are quite clever though and do not take payments directly from UK players but they use Kinguin so vouchers are bought which are reimbursed on Betbeard. They disguise these vouchers as "Games" vouchers. Quite scandalous behaviour if you ask me. Also allows them to accept credit card payments, something else illegal for Gambling in most countries now.
I opened other accounts with them using the same details. I asked for the 1st one to be excluded and emailed them. They then allowed creation of the 2nd account, I then got that excluded as well. There have been lots and lots of emails sent to them about this which I can share.
None were fully verified.
Thanks
Dear ayrshirecsc,
Why did you post the terms of Galaxy.bet casino into the complaint?
I've checked the terms and conditions of Bet Beard Casino and there is no restriction for UK players to register there.
Please note that the casino is allowed to accept whoever they want and it is up to the player to know the laws of his own country.
Look at the licence of this casino. It specifically states that they cannot provide services in the UK. I posted about Galaxybet as they are the same company and they deny UK players access. The UK gambling commission have confirmed that they are providing services illegally in the UK and will be taking action.
Dear ayrshirecsc,
Unfortunately we do not have the authority to deal with licensing related issues. All I can do is to recommend to contact directly the license of the casino. As long as they are not aware of that issues, our hands are unfortunately tied.
