The player from the UK is dissatisfied that she could make a deposit using her husband’s debit card. The casino cannot prevent players from depositing by someone else's card, therefore we rejected this complaint.

site has allowed me to deposit using my husbands debit card even though he isn’t registered on site . My name is not on his card . I cannot believe that this can be allowed as it could of been anyone’s card. I have a gambling problem so using my husbands card was an option I didn’t know I had , luckily he noticed and stopped me doing anymore money . Now I am worried I will be able to deposit when I am in need of a fix using someone else’s card.

Hello Susan,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem.

I apologize I am not sure I am able to help you in this case, because each casino checks used payment methods later on (usually during the verification process). I’ve never heard about, for example, software that would prevent players from using someone else's card. In addition to this I would like to mention, that most casinos confiscate winnings (and/or close accounts) in case the player deposited using the 3rd party card.

I would recommend you using blocking software, which will prevent you from using gambling websites altogether. You can read more about it in this article:

https://casino.guru/responsible-gambling#apps-and-tools

Other available softwares are for example:

www.gamblock.com

www.betfilter.com

Please, check out the article I am mentioning in this message, you may find many useful information there.

Take care and I hope this will help at least a little bit with your problem.

Best regards,

Kristina

Ah ok , So I could open an account in my name and fraudulently use some else’s debit card on other online casinos and lose the debit card owners money for them with no liability or duty of care to be had by the casinos for the actual owner of the card? And this is common practise amongst casinos?

Susan, unfortunately, not the casino, but the person who used someone else's card is to blame here. As I mentioned previously, the casino doesn't know whose card the player used until they verify the account. During the verification the casino usualy asks for proof of deposit and at this point it may discover that the player didn't use her/his own funds.

There is no way that you could be stopped/blocked from depositing with the card that doesn't belong to you.

Please, if there is anything else, we could help you with, do not hesitate to contact us, otherwise, we will reject this complaint.
