You know what they say about Midas – everything he touches turns to gold. But will you be that lucky? Find out when you play the Midas Golden Touch 3 slot game by Thunderkick.
If you've tried out the other Midas Golden Touch slots, this one might feel a bit familiar, especially when it comes to the visuals. This iteration of the game feels a little more opulent and impressive, with the game grid set against a backdrop of huge marble pillars and solid gold statues.
The soundtrack is a little calmer than what you might expect from a game themed around a mythical god. It features a few jangles and sweeping sounds layered over a hypnotic drum beat.
Midas Golden Touch 3 is played on a grid of five reels and three rows, with a total of 15 fixed paylines. To trigger a win, you'll be aiming to land at least three of the same symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, starting with the first reel.
The highest-paying symbol to look out for is Midas himself, while other valuable symbols include the crown, goblet, and treasure chest. Smaller wins are awarded if you land the number or letter symbols.
The hand of Midas represents the Wild Payline Multiplier, which substitutes for all other icons except the Scatter. Every line that has a Wild symbol will get a Multiplier of up to 32x, based on the number of Wilds.
The Gift of Midas feature can trigger randomly at any time during base gameplay. This special feature adds one to five Wilds or Scatters onto the reels in random positions.
The Bonus Game triggers when three or more Scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels. You'll get five free spins. During the Bonus Game, wins activate Sticky Respins, where winning symbols lock into place until no new ones appear. Epic Wild Multipliers can appear during Respins, to increase your wins.
Midas Golden Touch 3 also has a Feature Buy option, so if you can't wait for the Bonus Game to trigger, you can purchase it at a cost of between 100x and 250x your stake.
Midas Golden Touch 3 comes with a maximum win of up to 15,000x your stake, and you can bet between $/€/£0.10 and $/€/£100 per spin. The game has high volatility, which means that wins tend to be larger and more spread out, making for exciting play.
One major downside is that the Return to Player (RTP) percentage of this game is quite low at just 94.16%. This puts it well below the industry standard of 96%, which is what we usually look for before we recommend a game.
The visuals are the first aspect that really makes this game stand out. There's certainly no shortage of slots themed around gods, but the graphics here are a little more unique than the standard "big temple in the clouds" that we're used to seeing. The thing that puts us off this game a little is the low RTP, but if you can get past that, the slot is very entertaining. We especially enjoyed the Bonus Game, where sticky symbols and Epic Wild Multipliers give you tons of chances to win.
