Loki's Riches from Pragmatic Play takes players to Asgard, where they meet the God of Mischief, Loki. The titular riches and Loki's bigger intentions are never made clear.
From a visual perspective, Loki's Riches has a nice design. The game takes place on Asgard, with the Northern Lights lighting up the background and providing it with a warm, green glow that fits the Loki character.
Speaking of Loki, the man himself stands on the right-hand side of the reels wielding his scepter and wearing a stunning golden suit. The reels are populated with images of Loki and various artifacts from Asgard and Norse Mythology. Thor is absent from the reels, but his iconic hammer represents him.
Loki's Riches is a cluster-pay slot that uses an enhanced seven-by-seven game grid. Winning clusters are formed by five or more symbols. To be included in a cluster, symbols must directly touch one another horizontally or vertically.
Like many other cluster-pay slots, there is a Tumble mechanic at work. This triggers every time you land a win, with winning clusters being removed and the symbols all falling down the grid, with new ones joining from above.
The first trick Loki has up his sleeve in this game is the Expanding Symbol. At random points in the game, a symbol can be selected to expand. During the feature, whenever a win is complete, the symbol will not be removed from the grid. Instead, it will expand into a group of four in a 2x2 shape. Any new winning clusters are then paid out.
The main bonus is the Free Spins round. This launches when players land four or more Scatters, with ten spins rewarded. At the start of the round, a symbol is chosen to expand throughout the round.
Depending on the casino, players may also have the chance to buy their way into the Free Spins round.
Loki's Riches sticks with a math model we have seen in other Pragmatic Play slots, like Cash Chips or Fish Eye. The maximum win is 10,000x your stake, and the game is considered highly volatile. Loki's Riches is a solid offering from Pragmatic Play. While it might not be the most strikingly original title, it combines a nice design with popular themes and a solid 10,000x maximum win.
