Graphics, Sounds, and Animations

Can you spin your way to your very own pot of gold? You might just be lucky as a leprechaun when you play Gold Party 2 - After Hours by Pragmatic Play.

The game is set deep inside an enchanted forest, but don't worry, you'll have your leprechaun pal to guide you along the way. He's always at the side of the grid, so hopefully he brings some good fortune. When you land a win, symbols light up in magical green graphics, so it's easy to see the winning combinations. The soundtrack is a jaunty Irish jig. It blends well with the usual jingles and jangles that are typical of slot games.

Gameplay

Gold Party 2 - After Hours features simple base gameplay on a grid of five reels and three rows. There are 25 fixed paylines, and like most slot games, you'll need to land enough of the same symbols on adjacent reels - starting with the first reel - on one of the paylines.

The friendly leprechaun is the highest-paying symbol, and you only need two of them to land a win. Other symbols include a unicorn, a horseshoe, and a harp, and three of each of these triggers a win.

Wilds, Bonuses, and Free Spins

The tree Wild symbol can substitute for all other symbols, with the exception of the Money symbol. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, and can carry a Multiplier of up to 5x, which will be applied to any winning combinations that include the Wild.

During the base game, if a full stack of the highest-paying symbol lands on the first reel, it will be copied over to at least one other reel, giving you extra chances to win.

Keep an eye out for the pot of gold Money symbol. If at least six of these land on the reels, you'll be treated to a Respins feature. The game transforms into a configuration of four 3x5 grids, where only special symbols can land.

There's potential to get Multipliers, extra spins, or the very special Super Pot. The Super Pot comes with increasing Multipliers of up to 200x your stake. There are also four different jackpots available during Respins, including the Grand, which awards 10,000x your stake.

Bet Sizes, RTP, and Variance

The maximum amount you can win on a single spin is 10,312x your bet amount. The game's Return to Player (RTP) percentage is 96.50%, which we'd class a little higher than average. We were happy to see that the game is highly volatile, so while wins might not be too frequent, there's a good chance that they'll be pretty big when you do manage to land them.

The minimum amount you can bet is $/€/£0.25 per spin, up to a maximum of $/€/£250.

Conclusion

The Irish luck theme might seem a little overdone, but at least you can trust Pragmatic Play to do it well. The standout feature for us is the Respins round, which is a whole lot more exciting than what we're used to seeing. The grid is much bigger, so there are lots of chances to land special symbols, including the top jackpot prizes. Our advice is to try to channel the luck of the Irish and give this game a spin.
