Gates of Heaven has a cinematic soundtrack

As is characteristic of Pragmatic Play slots, the soundtrack is one of the highlights of the game. It's dramatic and seems to build all the time, although it never quite reaches a climax. It's certainly cinematic enough to befit the Gates of Heaven.

A lot of similarities to Gates of Olympus

The Gates of Heaven slot looks very similar to other Pragmatic Play titles with an ancient gods theme, for example, Gates of Olympus and its spinoffs. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the graphics are excellent. Everything is in crisp, clear HD, from the symbols to the animated clouds and torches in the background.

I don't want to keep harping on about how similar this game is to Gates of Olympus, but I really felt like I had déjà vu when I saw the symbols. The crown, hourglass, ring, and goblet are all exactly the same as in Gates of Olympus, and even the lower-paying gem symbols look very familiar.

The God character is the Scatter symbol, and it can land anywhere on the grid. You'll only need four of these to trigger a win.

Is it worth playing Gates of Heaven?

We had no real complaints about this game, besides how similar it is to other Pragmatic Play releases. The Multipliers, Tumbles, and Free Spins make for exciting play, and even though the Gates of Heaven max win is relatively modest at 5,000x, the high volatility means that wins can be decent. We'd recommend the game if you're a fan of this theme, just don't expect anything too groundbreaking – with the exception of the extremely high RTP.
