Firebird Spirit takes inspiration from the myths and culture of Mesoamerica. In particular the cult of Quetzalcoatl and the priests of the Mayans.

The theme is rendered in a colorful, upbeat style with priestesses in gold and feathered tops, and a jungle full of golden and bejeweled art.

Firebird Spirit is played on a five-reel by five-row play space with an additional sixth reel with special symbols on it.

The game has an anyway win system that awards payouts for sequences of matching symbols on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel.
