Is my slot strategy good or bad?

I tend to bet minimum for a while and if I dont see any big winnings yet but also the game is paying out some small amounts so I figure that it is not cold. I start to raise every bet after betting minimum for a while. If I hit really good reels or a bonus the payouts can be insane. But also it's a high risk of going broke, or losing a chunk of bankroll if you walk away instead of going broke. It's like a martingale for slots without being full blown martingale.

Hello,

that is a great question, the answer is merely complex 🙂 When it comes to slots, please consider the RTP and volatility of each slot you play:

With higher RTP, your chances for winning are higher. Anything above 96% RTP is good.

Then, of course, you should play slots that you like. Don't play the game when you don't like it even when the RTP is nice. Another point to consider is volatility. When slots have low volatility, it means you win a lot, but the winnings are rather low and often lower than your initial bet. Slots with high volatility can have over 50 dead spins, but when you finally win, you usually win more than you lost or you win a bit less, but you still win a huge part of your losses back.

Thus it needs to be patient with high volatility slots and that's something that doesn't suit to everyone.

Well, I ran it again with $70. I went broke this time. But the last few times I did something similar, I came out with big wins of $200-$700.

And what was the RTP, volatility of the slot, and which bets you placed?

I'm new in gaming, do you have any strategy tips for me?

Yes!! You must set a limit on how much you are willing to lose first keep it responsible. Start with low stakes and if you double your money stop and withdraw it. Choose your casino wisely make sure you read their terms and conditions. Slots are addictive so be careful. Remember over a long period of time the casino always wins. If you're not enjoying it and being entertained by the slot you play 🛑 STOP!! Don't chase your loses That's my advice see what Radka has to say. I watched a video link she left which said remember Mum's rule don't gamble at all. My bank balance would be a lot healthier if I never started 😜

thank you very much for the advice! the truth is that many times I get addicted to the game and I can't stop, I've won but I've also lost a lot.. however I try to have limits, can you recommend me any good slot game?

Bearing in mind I have lost more than I've won by a big margin😩 The only slot I play, and you can play it on demo, is Netents Finn and the swirly spin. It's a unique slot in the way it plays and to my mind the most enjoyable and entertaining. Try it on demo here by going to games type in Finn and the swirly spin and give it a try. 😜

Hi shl7kel

I have cut and paste this message as a warning ⚠️

Hello, everyone,

As an addiction counselor for people with gambling problems, I unfortunately have to disagree with Mythos 3. Online casinos are definitely more addictive than land based gambling.

The reasons are manifold: constant availability, higher speed, higher stakes and higher loss frequency, virtual and therefore faster access to money (account access versus having to withdraw cash), less social control, since games can take place more unnoticed, etc.

In my consulting practice, I experience every day that people who play online become addicted much faster and are much more in debt than people who play real machines.

Sad truth.

Many greetings!

Hi there,

for educational purposes, I would recommend this guide section about how slots work and how to beat slots. 😉

Just keep in mind that in the long term, the casino always wins. Never play out more than you can actually afford to lose.🙏

I totally understand what you're saying, but as a new player at the beginning I was winning! as time goes by I see that I am losing! Do you think this is a strategy in these games?

Hello! I agree so much with you..I recognize this in myself many times.. online games are much more addictive because we have easier access to them via mobile phones or laptops! unfortunately, it is very difficult to set limits on ourselves with games of chance!

The whole idea is to get you trapped but if you limit your self to what you honestly can afford to lose without it affecting your well being then you should be ok. I have lost over ££20000!! in the 7 yrs I have been playing half of which I could have saved if I had stuck to a better strategy of cashing out lower amounts and also joining dodgy scam casinos after registering with GameStop for 5yrs. So you have no one to blame if you get hooked as Radka says on here in the long run THE CASINO ALWAYS WINS. Give Finn and the swirly spin a go on demo here at least it has a fun element to it 😜

Agree! but unfortunately everything is also a big matter of luck in gambling! it is not possible to applaud it for sure 100%! I wish we could do it to the limit of fun but like I said it's quite difficult especially when you're dealing with money! It would be ideal in this forum to promote fair games but also to point out the danger of addiction! To talk about our experiences in the game and give advice! I hope it's fun for everyone!

I started on €.50 then €1 then €2 €4 and finally €5 the other good thing about Finn is you can use x50 auto play still.

I know that my opinion is not among the praised ones, but according to what I have learned, the longer you play the highest chance that you lose:

"If a game RTP is 96%, it means that if you start with $1,000,000,000 and then play 1,000,000,000 rounds at $1 each, then you should end up with approximately $960,000,000 dollars." - that's a loss.

"If you play just a few hundreds rounds, your current return may vary from 30% up to 1000%. But the more rounds you play, the more likely you’ll be closer to the statistical RTP of the slot game. That’s why I used such big numbers in the example above."

As you can see, the mathematical advantage is already on the side of the casino, I would not call that strategy, it's just how it works.

So if you want to increase your chances, you should consider the slot's volatility and make reasonable bets.

Playing e.g. high volatility games, you can win higher amounts, so you can have the same thrill with lower stakes. And lower stakes mean that you’ll statistically lose less. This effect can easily compensate for a slightly lower RTP.

So, I'd say the first point is to learn more about the slot and then try your luck with the proper volatility.

This is also the reason why we review games - to provide insights 🙂.
