250 free spins super underperforming?

Hi - I got a good promotion upon 250 free spins. 0,2 DKK value each. The slot was "Luckys Fabrik". It’s a game specially produced for spilnu.dk (danish site). The game’s RTP is listed as 97,00 with all betting sizes. 3x3 reel and volatility desribed as low-medium.

Okay - so in 250 * 0,2 I landed on 27,52. Where as 250 * 0,2 x 0,97 = 48,5. Is it just me, or this extremely unlikely to happen over 250 games? Or am I wrong, and it nothing to raise an eyebrow over?

What really raises my eyebrow is the RTP set to 97%. I find it pretty rare.

low medium volatility means you're more likely to win less than you bet. So, considering the low bet, I'd say it more or less fits.

Allow me a few quick hints:

slots have different RTP, you want to play slots with higher RTP (around 96%), because they pay more

you need to pay attention, because some game providers allow casinos to decrease the RTP on their slots, so it can happen to you, that the same slot can have different RTP in 2 different casinos. Anyway, good casinos always show you how much is the RTP on a specific game

there are high volatility and low volatility games, when you play low volatility games, you win quite often, but the winnings are often lower than your bets. When you play high volatility games (for example jackpot games are often high volatility games), you can have a dead spin after a dead spin, maybe 50 in a row, but then you enter a special bonus feature and win a big part of you losses back. Anyway, if you stop playing earlier, you feel like the slot didn't pay you anything

Thanks for you answer. I was just curious about the math - to me it seemed like a very low result. It is a game the casino have had specially produced for them. And as said the RTP listed as 97% and the volatility as LOW-medium hence I think I was just unlucky.

After completing the free spins I tried out Gonzos quest and landed a bonus after only 10 tries. I won 23 DKK on 2DKK bet. Alright that was pretty bad. Then I moved on to jack and the beanstalk, here I landed a bonus on spin number 11. Gave me 21 DKK for 2DKK bet. Not my day I guess 😛

Probably not 😀.

You know it would require more bets to be close to an "educated guess", trouble is bonus rounds and all special features usually change the current math, so to be 100% sure about the outcome, the game itself needs to be revered-engineered. 🙁.

The basics are quite simple though:

"If a game RTP is 96%, it means that if you start with $1,000,000,000 and then play 1,000,000,000 rounds at $1 each, then you should end up with approximately $960,000,000 dollars."

"If you play just a few hundreds rounds, your current return may vary from 30% up to 1000%. But the more rounds you play, the more likely you’ll be closer to the statistical RTP of the slot game. That’s why I used such big numbers in the example above."
