Starling bank are telling me they do not have to initiate the chargebacks as even though they were miscoded starling knew they were for gambling ??

If gambling has been mentioned with Starling, then it’s like banging your head against a brick wall. Ultimately I got nowhere with the ones where I mentioned gambling, I put in complaints because of how evasive and unhelpful they’ve been, and received a tiny amount of compensation because the investigator agreed it was handled badly, but still refused to file chargebacks .

Only success I had with Starling was where I went goods not received, no mention of gambling, and could provide invoices.

Ah that’s not great. Atleast if you tried to make contact with them and no communication could be had then that will work in your favour if you need to take it up with your bank 👍
