Hello everyone, I'm starting this thread to get insights from tech-savvy folks on whether IP addresses are valid grounds for multi-accounting accusations on VPN-friendly websites. VPN companies often reshuffle and reassign IP addresses to multiple users, and network carriers do something similar. Given how common this practice is, is it to proper a metric like this be used to presss such serious allegations? Will it hold in a court? And above all, is this fair and ethical practice? Yes there is the nuance that this alone isn’t what is considered in coming to such conclusions but I have seen on multiple occasions this being used as ground alone without any other solid reason to back/accompany. Your opinions and viewpoints on this will be greatly appreciated guys. Let’s discuss.
