One clear reason for a gambling operator that is serious with their business and in terms of responsible gaming is if a customer have managed to gamble away/deposit money even though he or she had asked for a permanent closure with the specific reason mentioned: Gambling addiction.
If the customer then informed the gambling operator yet:
a) The casino still allowed you to play.
b) The casino closed your account but you were able to re-open it.
c) You managed to gamble away on another casino within the same (license same brand) note: Some casino claim separate licenses even though they are the same brand. Then there is nothing to do.
This however is not the only reasons for a possible refund.
After managing around hundreds of refund since 2016 I'm willing to look through some of your errands, for free to evaluate the chances you have for a sucessful refund, and might give you some advice.
I can however max help 5 people as my time is limited.
If you're interested email me at: Rattvistspel@gmail.com explain your errand in brief, I don't have the time to read a whole wall of text, also be as honest as possible.
Good luck!
