Still waiting for winnings... advice pls

Hi all,

I withdrew 360euros exactly a month ago. There has been nothing but problems since.

They have told me that they have tried to send it 3 times to my uk bank account but it's never arrived. They say they are having problems their end with transferring.

My bank has not had any attempted deposits from them.

It's really upsetting me as I was hoping for the money for Christmas. I have emailed every day and they hardly ever reply and live help just tell me to be patient.

I know it's not a lot of money but it is to me.

I don't want to name the casino just incase they pay out. They did pay me once before, a small amount so I have hope they are genuine.

They are not licensed and based in Costa Rica so I have no rights. The last email they said I might have to open a bitcoin account to be paid but it's all so complicated and really don't want to do this as I think they are just messing me about.

Does anyone have any advice how I can deal with this and is it likely that they have sent it 3 times.

Thank you

Hello, I'm sorry but this won't do with any general advice I think. It would be useful to know more details, such as casinos' reputation scores, other complaints, issues reported by players.

I can imagine you'd love to hear that it would be alright, but it seems you just have to wait for their decision. Of course, there may be some technical problems or they can be short on staff because of Christmas, but these are just guesses.

In case you decide to submit a complaint, you can do so here: https://casino.guru/complaints

If you don't receive the money until the end of this year, I'd probably open the Bitcoin account as they suggest. You may try Bitstamp. I used is some time ago and it was pretty simply. It's still better to go through the hassle with Bitcoin wallet than leave them with 360 eur of your winnings.

Thank you so much Daniel.

I've set the bitstamp account up I think,!!

Could I just ask you a couple of question as I'm clueless...really I am...

When the casino send the money to my account and then can I transfer to a uk Santander account easily? How would I do it?

What would the fees be apx?

Thank you so much... I would really like the funds before Christmas.

Xx

Hm, I haven't used Bitstamp for about 2 years so I have no clue what the fees are. Anyway, I remember there's an option to add your bank account. Once you receive your Bitcoin, you'll be able to sell it immediately and get real money for it. I'm not sure if you can sell it for GBP, it's possible that you will need to use EUR or USD, but then you should be able to send it to your bank account.

Of course, you'll lose part of your winnings on fees for converting the bitcoins to real money, then transferring (maybe another currency) to your bank account to the UK. It's not ideal, but if you manage to collect your winnings this way, it's still better than nothing.
