I'd say the point is to pass this horrible situation as soon as possible. Let's put aside what seems reasonable and what is probably not. I feel Jaro expressed the opinion, which is also close to mine, that based on the experiences we've had so far, it is actually better to cooperate and then run away with the winnings in the pocket. Though I must admit, this is getting far too complicated for my taste. Just hold on!
EVERYBODY STOP WHAT YOURE DOING……
I have the money in my crypto wallet!!!
Now to work out how to get it to my bank. But…. For now, I beat the casino!!! 😀
Thanks so much, you have been a massive help, I wouldn’t have continued to pursue this had it not been for you so sincerely Thankyou 👍🏻
Which Bitcoin wallet did you use? Did it have the sell option if I remember rightly you sell and convert it to cash they charge a fee for selling which I think on your win would have been between 6-10£. I have just opened a Revoult account it's like a bank but you can buy, receive and sell Bitcoin you can also have a debit card. It's a real shame if you lost it after your efforts 😢
I honestly had no clue what I was doing , absolutely gutted. I thought I could swap between wallets on the app, not realising it’s not that easy. It’s gone, I can’t believe I’ve gone through all this and still lost it all . It was eToro. It had no selling options or anything, i really didn’t know what I was doing. It’s not something I’ll ever get my head around. You live and learn I guess. There’s no winners in gambling. This casino well and truly kicked my bum in every way possible 😞
Your right there. Unless you hit it really big and play often the casino will fleece you. I've lost bundles over the years!! Now I just gamble a bit of spare cash and come on here to help people out if I can. You could have googled how do I sell Bitcoin on etoro or YouTubed it. I'm really sorry you lost it. If you do in time decide to gamble may I suggest opening a Revolut account you can receive and sell Bitcoin on there. Anyway such a shame I thought you had a result Sorry 😢
You don't know how glad I am that I am reading this because I know how complicated it was. ☘️🎉😊
I hope that you will be able to transfer the money from the crypto to your bank without any problems and you will be able to enjoy your winnings. When you do, be sure to let me know.
However, if I could ask you, would you also write this fact in your complaint, namely that you have received money ? I'm sure that would be helpful to Nick.
Thank you very much. 🤗
Oh, I've read the whole conversation and my happiness is turning to sadness. I guess the only thing I can say about this is that you learn all your life. Too bad you didn't wait for nigelejc59's advice, he would have been able to help i guess. I'm sorry about the way things turned out. 😥
Jaro I’m devastated, I will never understand the crypto world no matter how hard I try or how many times it’s explained to me. You live and learn I guess. All the stress and I still walk away with nothing but a bad experience. Thankyou everyone for all of your help and advice. It’s so very much appreciated ❤️
I'm really sorry for such a dump question, I read this thread and the whole story at least four times, yet I couldn't figure out how you lost the money.
At one moment, bitcoins were in your e-wallet, right? Then another transfer occurred, if I'm not mistaken, here comes the issue. But, what actually happened, please?
I'm not pretty sure, so I prefer to ask you. Could you please help me with his part? What about the transaction history, perhaps? I just can't comprehend how the amount was somehow lost without a trace...
If you don't mind me asking, I'll be here for the response. 🙏
Hi, yes of course I don’t mind you asking. As you’ve probably already read, I’m not savy with crypto, despite me reading extensively on it. I stupidly thought I could transfer between wallets on the same crypto account. However, I sent bitcoin to bitcoin cash account, which I thought was a straight forward transfer on my own account. I now know it completely different to bitcoin and is lost in a blockchain because it’s not a bitcoin adress. You live and learn I guess 🤷♀️
You mean you sent the bitcoin (BTC) to bitcoin cash (BCH) within your own wallet? We explained how you can "convert" any crypto into any other easily within the exchange, before you ever make anything you should either ask or find information if you are not sure about something. I'm really sorry, I'm not sure if the exchange can help you recover said funds at all (once funds are sent to a wrong address, incompatible network or crypto then they are lost, forever).
You should always check which crypto you are using, which network and double check the address, most exchanges warn you about checking the crypto and network you are using, some even tell you certain address is not matching the crypto/network. You can still try to contact support about this and find out if anything can be done or not
You must of sent it somewhere if you can remember exactly what you did explain that to etoro support what you did and see if it's recoverable. I think with etoro you opened a Bitcoin exchange wallet where you can't sell and withdraw I think you have to open a second wallet an etoro cash wallet send you Bitcoin there and then sell it and withdraw to your bank. I know it's a bit confusing I'm new to it as well. I have opened a Revout account which is like an online bank account except you can buy sell and receive Bitcoin on it and is simple. Please give it one more try to recover your cash by the method I suggested and if what I told you didn't make sense about etoro Google or YouTube the question.
Hi!
Now I see. Thank you very much for the explanation, though frankly, I fear both guys are correct when they say that under such circumstances, the money is gone.
As you said, though, we live and learn, so maybe the exchange support will be of use. Are you willing to give it a shot?
Hi guys. I’ve opened up a ticket with etoro as it was between their wallets, ive not heard back yet but as it was between different currencies I think it’s gone. I clicked on the transaction and it’s gone through six different chains or channels (I’ve no clue) and the last one said 258 received 0 transferred. So I’m guessing that’s the end of the line 🤷♀️
