Hope so 🙂 I'm with Santander

Unsure what is happening yet as I received a disclaimer in the post today, which I had to sign and send back in a prepaid envelope, along with any 'evidence' I have for the chargeback. I just made a word document and took screenshots of as many merchant websites as I could find. To be honest I have so many merchants on my statement and the casinos have banned me so I cant take any screenshots of my deposits etc They are raising them as goods not received so hopefully they will disregard the gambling part of it completely and only focus on the merchants

Guys one thing I will say that I picked up on pretty quickly with this stuff is that Mastercard doesnt seem to have clear rules on incorrect MCC like VISA do.

When I called my Santander (they are Mastercard) I was told that they do not have grounds to chargeback on incorrect MCC and they also cannot raise the transactions as fraud because I authorised them. Don't waste your time trying to do this as it will only delay the process of possibly getting your money back. You need to specifically ask for goods and services not received I suspect that is why most of you have had problems getting claims raised

Of course I dont know for certain what will happen with mine but I will keep you all updated and try my best to help. Since I found this thread Ive read most pages and spent hours of my own time researching the subject. Ive lost too much money to these casinos to not try my best🤣

If they are telling you that its nonsense mate ive had over £50000 back on Mastercard debit bank card

paulmcewan05

Do you know under what master code specifically V

£8k worth of chargebacks raised with Revolut today 😵‍💫 wish me luck 🍀

Hi mate the bank do not tell me that on the letter just what is refunded but it can be done easy enough they will just be telling you that they cannot do it.

Another wee update on my emails to echosyntex I also cc'd in betfoxx casino and got an email back from betfoxx saying they've passed it on to process the refunds, they have also blocked my account today so wondering if they are just palming me off.

paulmcewan05

Which part are you referring to mate? The incorrect MCC part or fraud part?

tamiirender

They raised them or you did yourself through the app? You will definitely need good luck, it’s Revolut we’re talking about unfortunately.

I raised through website it’s a bloody rubbish process though. Some have just declined already but think they tried to put them through as fraud so trying to get them redone as goods & services. Iv had a few successful ones with Revolut but agree they’re a nightmare. Fully expecting them to close my account after this too but don’t care as long as I get the majority of these refunded!

I have had alot of payments either under NIKOTPF* or SMPAYPF* which I see alot of people mention elegro as the payment provider. I contacted them too and they have just come back asking for bank statements and masked card details which I have just provided so lets see what happens

tamiirender

Did you mention the unlicensed gambling element to them as usually will give a blanket no if you do?

No, like I say iv had a couple of successful chargebacks with them already. They’ve raised over £2k for me a couple of weeks ago for the same reason too.

used exactly same reasons this time so no reason they shouldn’t raise them. The way their payments are set out sometimes when you click the merchant it seems to automatically raise as fraud rather than goods so think that’s the problem.

Hoping raising different merchants under one chargeback doesn’t cause a problem though.

tamiirender

Bo did you get revolut to raise the chargeback. I'm having no luck with them. They keep being rejected

Raising the chargebacks incorrect mcc on Mastercard ive won tonnes of them

tamiirender

You will not get anywhere with them if you do I would be amazed !

paulmcewan05

I have already had 3 successful chargebacks with them! They’ve raised trick is to think of something not related to gambling!

Mastercard have a lot of stuff around incorrect MCC because everytime the wrong one is used it is costing them money!! They charge fees for their services, that's how they work and MCC's are based on risk profile - gambling is a higher risk profile and therefore the fees are higher. If a merchant is masking it as a bookseller(low risk MCC) then they are losing money and trust me they care about that.

Ok I gave up with them to be honest nothing they did or said made any sense

Hi I was honest with my bank - they have settled coin shop in favour of them as they produced fake receipts of crypto etc. any advice? It was a lot of money
