Casinos ridiculous deposit wagering rule

Why many casinos have 3x deposit rule? do u think that's a scam? 

not in traditional sense 

Why some casinos have this rule and someone don't?

i had a blast recently on Kingbilly casino where i deposit 40e make 110 and try to withdrawal..   i was happy that i won at least some money..then i got canceled says:

Minimal Wagering Requirements to your deposit are not met.
 

 i didn't take any bonuses ,but i was told that i have to wager my dep 3 times.. (also last time i didn't have to wager,(dep 20 won immediately 55e and withdrawal- same casino)

nevertheless , after i saw there is no point to explain and i didn't know about the rule i go to slots and ofc i lost most of money(barely won single hand)...and able to withdrawal only my deposit... 

The wagering requirement on deposits is usually applied as a basic anti money-laundering measure. Otherwise anyone could just take illegally earned money, deposit, withdraw instantly and claim that the amount was won in a casino.

yea i know, but aren't they keep tracking every bet u made? every hand, won ,lost and all history...no once can just deposit and not play and withdrawal...

also how come some other casinos don't have that rule? 

it's also not a problem about the rule, or money laundering, it's about they don't tell u that when u deposit....u need to find that in T&C where u also have trouble finding it.. 

I think it's just easier for the casino to make some settings like 1x or 3x wagering requirement than check every player's gambling history when they ask for a withdrawal. When the wagering requirements is set and checked automatically by their system, they at least know that the player played with the money without even checking his history.

If you need to wager your 40e deposit 3x, I would suggest to play some low volatility slot so you don't win or lose much. Then you shouldn't lose more than 10% of the total wagered amount.

Whether there is wagering on deposits or not depends on the license at a casino with eg. mga or ukgc license is apparently checked by the authorities whether the protection against money laundering is applied ... I take that from a message from

Exactly. It's one of the stupidest rules ever online. I recently started playing an online casino that I recently found online. I'm happy to be playing poker, slots and other blackjack there.
