There's a new candy-themed slot game on the scene, and you might recognize it. So, is Sweet Rush Bonanza a sequel to Sweet Bonanza? Or a sequel to Sugar Rush? Well, the clue is kind of in the name - it's a hybrid of the two popular slots.
The background is jam-packed with tasty treats, like trees made of lollipops and rocks that look like hard candy. There's even an animated pink river - perhaps melted chocolate? Liquid cotton candy? We'll never know. Anyway, the graphics are bright, colorful and fun, just like Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush.
Expect a sugary-sweet, dancey backing track, with a bit of an electronic vibe. The sounds really kick into gear if you land a win, with bells, chimes, and effects when the winning symbols explode.
Symbols pay anywhere on the screen, so you don't have to worry about them landing on specific paylines or in Clusters. You'll just need at least eight of the same symbols to appear on the grid. The red heart-shaped candy is the highest-paying symbol, and others to look out for include gummy bears and fruits.
The Tumble feature removes winning symbols from the grid, and new symbols can fall into their place, giving you extra chances to win.
You might have come across the Multiplier Spots feature if you've played Sugar Rush before. Whenever a symbol explodes on the grid, it marks its spot. When a second symbol explodes in the same spot, a Multiplier will be added. The Multiplier starts at 2x and can go up as high as 128x, before being cleared when the Tumbles end.
The lollipop Scatter symbol can appear anywhere on the reels and if four or more of them land, you'll be treated to 10 delicious Free Spins.
Sweet Rush Bonanza also comes with three different Special Bets. For example, in the Super Spin 2 option, a bet multiplier of 5,000x is applied, and all positions on the grid are automatically populated with a starting Multiplier of 32x. The Super Spin 1 option is similar, but with a bet multiplier of 400x, all positions start with 2x. Just keep in mind that these options dramatically increase your bet amount.
Sweet Rush Bonanza has a theoretical Return to Player (RTP) percentage of 96.50%, which is above the industry standard of 96%. The volatility of the game is high, which means that wins can be quite big, although they tend to be more spread out.
Like a lot of other Pragmatic Play slots, the minimum stake amount is $/€/£0.20 per spin and the maximum is $/€/£240, but this can be much higher if you're using one of the Special Bet options. The maximum win is 5,000x your stake.
If you're a fan of the original Sweet Bonanza or Sugar Rush slot games, this title is a must. The visuals are very similar to what you've seen before, but there are a few features here like the Special Bets and Multiplier Spots that make for interesting gameplay. Overall, it's a fun title and we'd recommend giving it a try if you're into candy-themed games.
