Sweetopia Royal is a candy-themed slot designed and developed by Relax Gaming. The slot is centered around a royal kingdom that is ruled by a royal family of marshmallows.
Sweetopia Royal transports players to a magical kingdom ruled by a marshmallow royal family. The game boasts a vibrant design, with two royal guards standing at the side of the reels inside a royal chamber. The background is intricately designed, with cake chairs, chocolate swirl bedposts, and cupcake banners hanging from the windows.
Candy slots like Sugar Rush and Sweet Bonanza have been hugely popular with players in the past, and Sweetopia Royal appears to have built on their success by putting a fresh spin on the genre by adding characters and a little more personality.
The song is a charming, fantasy-like tune that helps to give the slot more of a regal atmosphere.
Sweetopia Royal takes place on an enhanced 7x7 game-grid. It uses a cluster-pay mechanic. Winning clusters are formed of four or more symbols directing touching one another horizontally or vertically anywhere on the grid.
There are several Sweetopia bonus features available for players to sink their teeth into. First, like most cluster-pay slots, there is a respin system whenever players secure a win. The winning cluster is held on the grid and the remaining positions respin. If the cluster is enhanced, or a new one is formed, this continues happening. The sequence ends when there are no new wins formed.
During the respin, three random features can occur to create more winning potential:
There are also two random features that can happen after any base-game spin. They are as follows:
That is just the respins, there is also a brilliant Free Spins bonus. To trigger the Sweetopia Free Spins round, you will need to land three or more Bonus symbols. Five spins are rewarded, with an additional spin being rewarded for each Bonus symbol past the third, up to nine.
During the Free Spins, the three respins features can all be active and can be upgraded throughout. The Candy Cannon and Sweet Upgrade can reach level 5, while the Candy Cluster can reach level 2.
The Candy Coin Respin Bonus is triggered when you land a cluster of four or more Coin symbols. The coins display values between x1 and x1,000. The reels then respin in the same way as they do with the standard respin round. At the end of the bonus, all Coin values are added together and paid out.
Sweetopia has a modest math model. The game has a maximum win of 5,000x your stake. It has an RTP of 96.01%, which is around average according to our slot strategy guide. The slot is rated highly volatile, which gets a big thumbs up from us.
Sweetopia Royal is a really nicely-designed slot from Relax Gaming that does a good job of immersing players in its candy-colored world. The maximum win of 5,000x your stake and average RTP may not get too many pulses racing, but the selection of bonuses on offer is attractive, and the slot makes great use of its cluster-pay mechanic.
