After the captivating Caribbean adventure of Pirots, ELK Studios has followed that up with the sequel - Pirots 2.
There is a new setting. This dinosaur-themed slot sees players join forces with the fearsome four birds scanning through dense forest.
Those players who enjoyed the original incarnation can expect another adventure in Pirots 2.
The sweeping soundtrack grabs the attention of the players upon entering the base game.
Pirots 2 uses wind instruments for its composition, and it builds up quickly, evoking memories of the classic film Jurassic Park.
ELK Studios is on point with its sharp animations as the birds hover mid-air above the water against the backdrop of a dinosaur theme park.
Various colored fossils are spotted on the reels, and the visuals are similar to the first game albeit in a different setting.
All in all, the epic graphics and soundtrack encompass the quality of this slot.
Pirots 2 utilizes a 6-reel, 6-row structure.
Players are awarded wins by landing matching fossil symbols either horizontally or vertically. This is carried out through the unique CollectR mechanic which is different from standard Cluster Pays slots.
Payouts are dependent on which level you reach, but landing the Red Amber Fossil can provide wins worth a maximum of 50x the bet. The maximum win amount is 10,000x your wager.
Through Symbol Collection, birds can move and collect symbols of their own to generate wins as well as feature symbols. All collected Amber symbols count in the feature meter, and amber symbols can be upgraded up to 7 times, bolstering potential payouts.
The Bonus Game in Pirots 2 is triggered when players land 3 Dinosaur Skulls Scatters. Here, 5 free spins are awarded, and feature symbols are released. The grid size and payout level of Amber fossils persist.
There is also an X-iter Feature incorporated that comes with 5 different game modes. These range from a 3x bet to a Super Bonus worth 500x the bet.
The return to player for Pirots 2 sits at just 94%, and that is significantly lower than the industry yardstick of 96%.
The range of bets available that we tested ran from a minimum of $/£/€0.20 per spin up to a maximum of $/£/€100 per spin.
Despite its low RTP, this game is highly volatile, barely fitting in with our preferred slot strategies. We tend to target games with higher volatility levels, so players can win big while betting small.
Although the RTP is on the lower side, we still recommend this dinosaur-themed slot.
Higher volatility will appeal to mathematically minded players and Pirots 2 delights with its sharp graphics.
The bonus features are enriching too, and this helps elevate the atmosphere of the game.
