Loki's Descendants invites players to take a trip into the mythical world of Norse mythology.
Red Tiger Gaming puts players into contact with Loki's bloodline, as Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel tear through each spin in their bid to claim the throne of Asgard.
Norse mythology games hold sway, and there have been a few versions of this game, including Loki's Riches, but Loki's Descendants shines from the outset.
Loki's Descendants tries to amplify the fear in this game with a sombre soundtrack.
Stringed instruments underscore the tempo, but it's worth keeping the audio switched on.
The game is strong design-wise, with one of Loki's offspring dominating the reels, and they are flanked by a giant serpent and a grizzly wolf.
In the background, a huge tree wraps its branches around the grid, and according to Norse mythology, this was supposed to bind the universe together.
All in all, the tense music and engaging graphics enhance the quality of Loki's Descendants.
Loki's Descendants is a 5-reel game that has 432 different ways to win.
Wins are created when players land at least 3 matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.
The axe and the helmet are among the premium symbols, with the latter paying up to 6x your bet for a 5-of-a-kind win.
Loki's Descendants is stacked with features. The Wild symbol can land on reels 2, 3, and 4, and can be awarded by the Serpent feature as well. Wilds substitute for all paying symbols, except for Scatters.
The Serpent feature can be randomly triggered once, twice, or three times during a spin. When the Serpent randomly triggers for the second time, for example, it awards a multiplier of 3x, 5x, or 10x. The spin multiplier is then added to the 3 Wilds previously awarded by the Serpent.
Meanwhile, Free Spins can be activated when players land 3 FS Scatters on the first, third, and fifth reels during the base game. This triggers 7 free spins. When 3 free spins land in this feature, the rest of the round is upgraded to Super Spins, and 7 additional spins are awarded.
There are two other free spins features, and the highlight is the Monster Spins. Landing 2 Super Spins Scatters and 1 FS Scatter on the first, third, and fifth reel during the base game triggers 7 Monster Spins. Picking up 3 FS Scatters in Monster Spins can upgrade a current win to a maximum of 20,000x your current stake.
Loki's Descendants holds an above-average Return to Player (RTP) rate of 96.10%. Although this is a theoretical amount, higher RTP games are expected to return a greater percentage of bets placed over a long period of time.
The betting range in this game is small, running from $/£/€0.10 to $/£/€500 per spin.
