Inspired by Chinese folklore, Fortune Mouse is a proud addition to the Zodiac-themed slot range.
Released by PG SOFT (Pocket Games Soft) in 2020 to celebrate the Year of the Rat, Fortune Mouse retells the legend of a race organized by the Jade Emperor who had to choose the 12 Zodiac animals.
Charming and with simple game aesthetics, players who like similar fortune-style games, such as Money Mouse, will be drawn to this title.
Fortune Mouse pays homage to Chinese culture, featuring a classic soundtrack.
Bamboo flutes underscore the calming music, and there are special sound effects incorporated when players generate wins.
This slot is quite striking, featuring bright golden colors and festive imagery that tie in with the themes of prosperity and fortune. The mouse absorbs the reels, and it makes it a mobile-friendly game.
Pagoda roofs can be spotted in the background, making the game more authentic.
All in all, the attention to detail paid to the graphics and music is impressive.
Fortune Mouse is played on a 3-reel, 3-row grid, and there are 5 fixed paylines attached.
Wins can be created by landing at least 3 matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.
Low-paying icons include peanuts and oranges, paying between 3ₓ and 5ₓ your stake, while the red and golden ornaments are more valuable, offering a return of up to 100ₓ your stake.
The mouse represents the Wild, and it substitutes for all other regular-paying symbols on the board. It can return up to 300ₓ your stake.
Fortune Mouse only has one feature — the Fortune Mouse Wild Feature — but it is lucrative. This is triggered when Wilds stack on the reel. The middle Wild reel becomes sticky as reels 1 and 3 respin indefinitely until you land a win.
Filling the screen with just Wilds will be the key to unlocking the maximum win amount of 1,000ₓ your stake.
The Return to Player (RTP) for Fortune Mouse stands at 96.96%. This comfortably exceeds the 96% industry average, and high RTP slots usually translate to better long-term returns.
Players can spin the reels of this slot for $/£/€0.15, while the maximum wager per spin is $/£/€45, which is decent for low-risk and more experienced players.
This title is categorized as medium volatility, suggesting payouts are more moderate. Our preferred slot machine strategies lean more into highly volatile slots, as players get the chance to win big amounts, albeit less frequently.
We think you will like this quaint, zodiac-themed slot title from PG SOFT.
Despite having medium volatility and a low maximum win amount, the simple gameplay mechanics and vibrant imagery stand out.
A bouncy soundtrack and a fun bonus round should also keep players locked in.
