Players hope luck will be on their side in the compelling Ancient Chinese/lunar-themed slot Fortune Dragon.
PGsoft (Pocket Games Soft) is accustomed to the genre, and in this slot, players encounter dragons and red lanterns as they seek to claim big wins.
Those who like a mix of retro and modern vibes sprinkled through their slots should appreciate Fortune Dragon.
Fortune Dragon embraces an energetic and high-tempo beat for the game.
The distinctive hip hop vibes sound like you're in a busy nightclub, but players can choose to turn the audio off as they progress through the bonus game.
PGsoft has taken inspiration from Taoism with the traditional symbols, and the graphics are bold. However, the disco ball, which hangs underneath the reels, spices things up a bit.
Overall, the quality of the graphics and soundtrack makes Fortune Dragon stand out.
Fortune Dragon utilizes a 3-reel, 3-row structure, and there are 5 fixed paylines.
Symbols pay out for matching 3 or more across a payline from left to right.
The dragon, which represents the Wild, offers a top return of 100x your wager for collecting a full line.
During the game, the disco ball acts as a multiplier reel. On any given spin, the multiplier reel can be activated, revealing either a blank or a win multiplier of 2x, 5x, or 10x. This is applied to all wins during the respective spin.
The Fortune Dragon Feature can be triggered randomly during the base game. Players receive 8 Dragon Fortune free spins, and during these spins, the multiplier reel expands. Here, 2 or 3 multipliers are shown on each spin.
Fortune Dragon has a maximum win amount of 2,500x your wager.
Fortune Dragon holds a return to player (RTP) of 96.74%, climbing comfortably above the industry average, offering better long-term payout potential.
The range of bets is pretty small compared to other Chinese-themed games. Minimum bets for Fortune Dragon start from $/£/€0.15 per spin, while the maximum permitted is $/£/€45 per spin.
This game is medium volatility, meaning it falls short of our preferred slot machine strategies. We lean more towards games with the highest volatility rating as players can generate big wins, albeit less frequently.
Despite its medium volatility, Fortune Dragon is still worth taking a closer look at.
PGsoft has nailed the Chinese theme, and this game sits nicely alongside other similar titles, such as Fortune Tiger and Fortune Rabbit.
This slot has been well optimized for mobile play, and while it's not stacked with bonus features, there's enough to keep players keen.
