If you're not into any crazy slot game themes and you prefer to bring things back to basics, Coin Craze Jackpot by Mancala Gaming should be top of your list.
The game is set against a plain purple background, but if you play at the right time, you might spot some seasonal updates. In winter, look out for frosty trims and a tired little reindeer, recovering from delivering all those presents. The soundtrack is so subtle you might not even notice it, but all of the classic slot game sounds kick in when symbols land on the reels.
The whole premise of Coin Craze Jackpot is that it's a super simple slot. There are no paylines, and symbols don't land on the grid in the usual way.
There are only five regular symbols: the Major, Minor, and Mini jackpots, a gold coin with a red ribbon, and a plain gold coin. Wins are only paid out in the special Claim Win feature and the bonus round, rather than through normal line wins every time you spin.
For such a simple slot, Coin Craze Jackpot has no shortage of special features.
The Claim Win symbol can appear in any position, and it will collect values until the counter reaches zero. After that, a certain percentage of the total win will be paid out, which can range from 10% to 200%.
Any five symbols on the middle row trigger the bonus game, where you'll get three Respins. Every time a new symbol lands on the grid, the number of Respins is set back to three. During the bonus round, you can win the jackpot prizes, and if you fill up the whole grid, you'll bag the top prize of 7,000x your stake.
The Sticky symbol (gold coin with the red ribbon) can appear during the base game, and it stays sticky until the end of the bonus round.
There are two Surprise symbols, which look like locked vault doors. The silver Surprise symbol awards a random reward in the bonus game, while the gold Surprise Jackpot symbol gives you a random jackpot during the bonus game.
Keep an eye out for the Collector symbol (a treasure chest), because if it appears during the bonus game, it will collect up all the monetary values on the grid and multiply them by between 1x and 20x before adding the cash to your balance.
Coin Craze Jackpot has an RTP of 95%, which isn't hugely impressive, as the industry average is 96%. On the plus side, the game's volatility is very high, which makes things extra exciting. You'll probably be waiting a while before you land a win, but it's likely to be relatively big.
You can play for between $/€/£0.20 and $/€/£180 per spin, and the maximum win comes from the Grand Jackpot, which is set at 7,000x your stake.
Coin Craze Jackpot certainly isn't your standard slot game. Although it might seem a little confusing at first, it's actually very easy to understand once you get your head around the fact that there are no standard line wins. The game offers lots of different ways to win, and our highlight was definitely the Grand Jackpot of 7,000x your stake. If you're keen on specific themes, this might not be your ideal slot, but if you're in the mood for something a little more classic, it's a good option.
