Theme and Style

Bounty Raid 2 has a classic Western theme.

Players will saunter into a dusky saloon and sit down at a table with some local bandits. Before they know it, they’ll be planning a risky gold heist.

This slot will appeal to those who have dreamed about life as a cowboy.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The soundtrack of Bounty Raid 2 is a slow-paced country melody with plenty of twangy guitar notes. The reels spin with a subtle clicking sound and the clatter of coins adds a visceral excitement to wins.

Players are welcomed to the world of Bounty Raid 2 by a curvaceous red-haired heroine. She wields a rifle and looks at players with a mischievous expression.

On the reels, players will see plenty of playing cards, pistols, whisky flasks, and bars of gold. An array of rough-looking characters also make an appearance, many with their fists raised and a weapon in hand. Players will be left with no doubt that surviving in this world is tricky.

Behind the reels, players will see the street of an Old Western town. Shimmering gold has spilled from a sack, suggesting that a raid has recently been completed.

Overall, the soundtrack and animation create a dramatic Western adventure vibe.

Gameplay

Bounty Raid 2 is a five reel, four row slot. In total, there are 20 win lines.

The maximum win for this slot is 2,372x the player’s total bet.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

Bandit Scatter symbols have an associated multiplier that pays when a Sheriff symbol lands on the same spin. Bandit Scatters can also pay at the conclusion of a Bonus round triggered by the Bounty Hunter.

Bandit Scatters can remain sticky on the reels for as many as 5 spins. For every spin, the reward of the Bandit Scatter increases.

If 2 Bandit Scatters land in adjacent positions, the highest value Bandit can transfer its value to adjacent Bandits if a Bounty Hunter or Sheriff lands at the same time.

The Sheriff symbol is a non-paying Scatter that appears on reels 1, 2, 4, and 5. The Sheriff Scatter has the special ability to capture Bandits and award their values.

The Bounty Hunter is an extra large, non-paying Scatter that can appear at the center of the reels. The Bounty Hunter Scatter has the special ability to lock all Bandit symbols on the reels for the Hold & Respin feature. This feature begins with 3 respins during which only Bandit symbols are present. Whenever a new Bandit symbol lands, the spin count is reset to 3. The feature continues until all spins are depleted or the reels are entirely filled with Bandit symbols. At the conclusion of the feature, all Bandit values are awarded.

Bet Sizes, RTP and Variance

The return to player of this game is 95.69%, below our yardstick for average of roughly 96%.

The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€0.10 up to a maximum of $/£/€40.00 per spin.

Medium volatility makes this slot a less ideal match for our preferred slot machine strategies. Targeting the highest possible volatility is our suggested strategy for selecting slots.

Conclusion

We do not recommend this low RTP, medium volatility Western-themed slot.

Although the theme is entertaining, this slot’s combination of a lackluster RTP and middling volatility make it a less ideal pick.

Some players may still choose to drop by to try out the selection of bonus features though. However, mathematically-inclined players would do well to seek out slots that offer more favorable RTPs and high volatility.
