A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Do with it what you will ,If you have an issue with them and they are unlicensed and you can not get any resolve, then you could take them to the ADR in Caracaco or just report to licence bodies.I was just making people aware that mystake is unlicensed that's all !!

Is that illegal? Sorry I’m not sure

the curacao egaming thingy is a bit misleading. It seems to be nothing more than a B2B accreditation badge, can't see it on mystake unfortunately 😕 Same thing goes for the other dude that qouted the requirements from the curacao egaming terms. As much as I'd like this to be a valid point, there's difference between curacao gaming control board licenses and curacao egaming accreditation badge / license

Good catch.

The unresolved settings of the new Curacao licenses could also be the cause. The majority of casinos that were previously licensed under one of the four Curacao sublicenses now seem to be unlicensed or have adopted a temporary solution, such as Anjouan or Costa Rica, e.g.

file All these sublicense expired and they needed to apply for new licences ,I have also noticed Donbet is still operating under the jaz licence and santanda group ,but if you have noticed all santeda group licences have been updated and are the same Barr Donbet .Its also odd that some affilates are not advertising donbet as a sistersite to other santanda sites 🤔

Hoping someone can help. One of my banks has asked me to do the chargebacks via goods not received. On of the questions is description of goods purchased. What have people been putting for this ? I have originally told them it was for gambling , the MCC code etc etc but unsure what to write here.

Cheers friends ❤️

No They are just trying to bamboozle you with jargon .Did you join through an affiliate site ? If it has a Costa rica licences the laws of costa rica state that they must comply with blocking Ip address from jurisdiction set out by their company registered. It's also illegal for a gambiling company to miscode transactions To bypass banking payments when most people have blocks on accounts .All transactions must show correct Mcc for tax purposes ect and money laundering

So in hindsight it will be them who will have to explain why they are operating in UK without a ukgl

And processing funds under diffrent merchant categories

I think the financial authorities will be more interested in this than you

Don't be intimidated they usually say you joined through an affiliate site did you or did you search a tool bar ? If you didn't go through affiliate then you want to point this out and call them out as well they tried this one also .Never used an affiliate link at all

That’s what I thought and researched and found the same. The casino is called dealbet. Found a few different licenses for them. No I didn’t and I’ve never been blocked by a casino - if I am restricted it was at my own request x

Google Pay Op, has been implicated in illegal transactions that breach KYC and AML regulations. It's essential to speak to your bank first and initiate a chargeback if you believe the transactions are fraudulent. Additionally, consider reaching out to the Ombudsman and, depending on the amount involved, consult with gambling solicitors for further action.

Costa rica licences are not licences this is what people need to realise, If you read properly it usually says registered company and that's all it is ,and even that means nothing as half the time they are not even registered with the relevant authorities. They still must adhere to licences laws of costa rica Block ip address from blacklisted jurisdiction follow strict AML laws and player protection. Need to have certain officers in place to run a buissness,Obviously Use correct merchant codes As you used bank transfers .I will be completely honest with you I don't know where you will stand on that as I have never used that facility, I can only imagine is if payop has listed it on your statments as something else other than the casino ,another merchant ? All above they are in breach of Did they do A kyc check or ask for documents before you made deposits? They should also do this. Not having a ukgl is another factor

Really do some deep diving into the company find out what you can then present it to them.

Be persistent I am not sure if there is an ADR in costa rica but there is a complaint procedure to the issuing licence for the company I will have to look through my emails to find address

From goldenbet (I won’t contact them again directly) interesting they’re basically saying they don’t control the transactions, surely that is unprofessional and perhaps not legal:

We would like to underline that all transactions on our platform are carried out in strict conformity with established rules.

Please be advised that, because we use third-party payment providers, we have no control over or information about the specific descriptors that may appear on your transaction bills.

Furthermore, please refer to our "Refund Policy," which clearly specifies that reimbursements are not available if the monies in question, including any associated bonuses, were used to access our Services.

Did you them a copy of this you can also inform them that merchants that where used on transactions are not registerd with the FSCS, and majority of them are on the Scam warning watch list, plus numerous companies are now under investigation by UK govermement companies house, and HRMC.

Curaçao eGaming Regulations on Third-Party Payment Solutions and Incorrect Merchant Codes

Curaçao eGaming, as a well-established licensing authority for online casinos, enforces strict regulations to ensure that all licensed operators adhere to international standards of fairness, transparency, and consumer protection. These regulations are designed to protect players, ensure legal compliance, and prevent fraudulent activities, including issues related to third-party payment solutions and the improper use of merchant codes.

1. Third-Party Payment Solutions

Curaçao eGaming requires all licensed operators to ensure that payment transactions are processed through reliable, secure, and properly regulated payment providers. The use of third-party payment processors is permitted, but these processors must be fully compliant with relevant financial regulations and ensure that they are registered with appropriate regulatory bodies.

Operators must ensure that:

Payment providers adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.

Transactions are conducted transparently, and customers' financial data is securely handled and encrypted.

Third-party providers are legally authorized to process payments and are fully regulated to prevent illegal activities, such as money laundering.

Failure to comply with these rules can result in serious consequences, including penalties, suspension of operations, or even revocation of the operator’s gaming license.

2. Incorrect Merchant Codes

Merchant Category Codes (MCC) are used by financial institutions to categorize transactions, which helps prevent fraud and ensures proper reporting of payments. Curaçao eGaming mandates that all casinos and online operators use the correct merchant codes for transactions related to gambling.

Using incorrect or manipulated MCCs to disguise gambling transactions is considered a breach of financial integrity regulations and can lead to significant legal consequences. Casinos that use incorrect merchant codes to bypass payment restrictions or evade regulations are in violation of Curaçao eGaming’s standards.

These violations can result in:

Penalties and fines for improper handling of transactions.

Revocation of licenses for serious or repeated violations.

Increased scrutiny and audits by regulatory bodies to ensure future compliance.

3. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Curaçao eGaming takes any violations related to payment processing and incorrect merchant codes very seriously. If an operator is found guilty of manipulating payment methods or using fraudulent merchant codes, they can face:

Revocation of their license to operate in Curaçao and potentially other jurisdictions.

Legal actions from both the authorities and affected customers.
