A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

But sumup have not replied to say it is not them which is odd as you would think they would right away ! maybe the bank can see where they go

I’m not convinced mate, I’ve used Sumup loads of times for genuine, non gambling related transactions and it comes up as Sumup*(name of merchant here).

Ok maybe that bank worker is wrong then that is what he told me though and the complaints hander said he will review phone calls as part of the investigation just shows you if not how much they are not doing the job correctly ! I deffo seen sumup appear when doing a payment though if it is them it should be a certain refund for all no questions asked !

I’m hoping so as they’d be more of an operation than these dodgy processors.

What were the transaction description? Maginc?

boots2024

So let’s assume it’s not Sumup how do you successfully do a chargeback in that situation since you have nothing on the processor or merchant?

Can't find a contact for Santeda, as for goldenbet, they pretty much said i'm liable for not reading their ToS as they're prohibited from offering their services to the UK, wouldn't help me at all, waiting for the ombudsman still as chase basically said it was gambling and they don't cover gambling per mastercard ToS even though the MCC wasn't gambling, it was gaming and digital goods. The FoS has been around a seven week wait so far, maybe a touch longer and they've not began the investigation proper, just said they will appoint an agent to my case when they have one free as they have an increased workload.
